Israeli occupation forces (IOF) broke into the home of MP Mohammed Abu Juhaisha in al-Khalil at dawn Wednesday and served a summons to his son Mujahid. The MP told the PIC reporter that big numbers of IOF soldiers raided his home in Nuba town before dawn and thoroughly searched it before serving the summons to his son Mujahid for intelligence interrogation.
The Palestinian preventive security apparatus in al-Khalil had served a similar summons to Mujahid a few days ago but he refused to respond to it.

Seven Palestinians, including a young woman and two wounded citizens, from Bethlehem, al-Khalil, Jenin and Occupied Jerusalem were arrested by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) at dawn Wednesday. According to local sources, IOF arrested ex-detainees Salah Sami Asakra, 32, and Iyad Asakra, 24, after having raided and rummaged through their family’s home in Asakra suburb in Bethlehem.
Israeli soldiers held the detainees in chains by force and blindfolded their eyes in front of their families, before forcing them into the military jeep.
The sources further documented the arrest of Moaazaz Khalil Abayat, 30, after IOF attacked his home and reduced most of its property to rubble.
In the same context, a Palestinian youth, 20, from Jenin camp was arrested at dawn following an abrupt break-in carried by Israeli troops in the Jenin refugee camp. Two more boys were arrested in the process after IOF turned native’s homes upside down and, unjustifiably, interrogated the Palestinian citizens without prior notice.
In another event, Israeli forces, aboard dozens of military vehicles, arrested three young men and a young woman from al-Khalil and Beit Oula village to the west of the city. Both Samira al-Akal and her brother were transported to an unknown destination.
Meanwhile, another civilian Palestinian passer-by was arrested near the Container military checkpoint northeast of Bethlehem.
According to local sources, IOF stormed several houses in Idna village, west of al-Khalil city, and arrested Mohamed Abdul Rahim Tamiza after blowing up his house’s gate.
Along the same line, Palestinian human rights data documented the arrest of two wounded Palestinian teens, Abdul Raouf Jawhar, 17, and Jawhar Nasseur al-Dine Halabiya, 19, from Abu Dis east of Occupied Jerusalem on Monday evening while they were on their way back home from a therapeutic journey in a Jordanian army hospital.
The Liberties Center for Defense of Civil Rights “Huriyat” said in a press release on Tuesday the two injured boys were brutally assaulted by IOF earlier this year.
“Both were shot with several bullets and mauled by sniffer dogs before being arrested,” the statement further maintains.
According to the center, the boys had been detained for more than three hours before being summoned to Israeli intelligence for investigation.

UFree Network launched an international campaign calling for an end to Israeli “Administrative Detention” policy which leaves hundreds of Palestinian detainees for months and years inside Israeli jails without charge or trial. Although the international law restricts the use of administrative detention, Israel is using it regularly in flagrant violation to article 10 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and article 14 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights that stipulate prisoners should have a fair trial.
UFree Chairman, Mohammad Hamdan, expressed his total support to Palestinian administrative detainees’ hunger strike, and called on the European Parliament and European Union member states to pressure Israel to meet the prisoners’ legitimate demands especially ending the administrative detention policy.
Meanwhile, Palestinian Prisoner Society revealed that another group of Palestinian administrative detainees declared their intention to join the hunger strike on Thursday.
Israeli prison administration in Ofer prison has isolated 37 Palestinian detainees in Ramle prison, as part of its sanctions against striking administrative detainees.
51 administrative detainees in Negev prison were isolated after joining the hunger strike, while 4 administrative detainees declared hunger strike in Megiddo prison.
Israeli Prison Service has imposed number of punitive measures against the hunger strikers including denying family visits and transferring them to solitary confinement.
On the other hand, Ahrar Center for Prisoners' Studies confirmed that Ayman Atabich continued his hunger strike in Israeli jails for the 62nd consecutive day, while Adel Shneita continued his strike for 27 days protesting their administrative detention.
The center confirmed that Palestinian administrative detainees are determined to continue their strike till achieving their demands, calling on the Palestinian people to support their battle.
The human rights center stated that Israeli administrative detention policy came in total violation of international laws and conventions as it held Palestinian detainees for long periods without charge or trial.
In his turn, the official of prisoners' file in Hamas movement Mussa Dudin confirmed that Palestinian factions should agree upon a national program for the release of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails by all possible means.
He pointed out that noticeable efforts have been made in Europe to prosecute the occupation leaders for crimes against Palestinian detainees, saying that one million Palestinians have been jailed behind Israeli bars ever since the creation of Israel on the land of Palestine.
Dudin, himself a former prisoner, stressed the need to document Israeli crimes and violations against Palestinian detainees.

Shanayta suffers from lung congestion resulting from Asthma, and apparently became unable to walk on his own.
On April 28, the Palestinian Ministry of Detainees, and the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) organized and activity, in front of Shanayta’s home, in solidarity with the hunger striking Palestinian detainees.
Shanayta was taken prison three months ago, and has been held under arbitrary Administrative Detention orders without charges since then.

Half of the Palestinian administrative prisoners, who are about 200, have spent more than one year in administrative detention, Palestine's Prisoners Center for Studies revealed. Reyad Al Ashqar, spokesman of the center explained that “the IPS uses the administrative detention policy in order to hold prisoners for extended periods of time without charging them or allowing them to stand trial."
Administrative detention orders are issued either at the time of arrest or at a later date and are often based on “secret information” collected by the Israeli Security Agency (formerly known as the General Security Service). In the vast majority of administrative detention cases, neither the detainee nor his lawyer is ever informed of the reasons for the detention or given access to the “secret information”.
He added “administrative detention turns the prisoners to political hostages; their detention is renewed by mock and nominal courts instructed by Israeli security agency who holds this file."
He pointed that the administrative detention orders have been renewed for about 65 prisoners for four times in a row, 32 prisoners for 3 times, 39 prisoners for twice .
Palestinians could be detained for months, if not years, under administrative detention orders, without ever being informed about the reasons or length of their detention. Detainees are routinely informed of the extension of their detention on the day that the former order expires. Under the existing administrative detention procedures, Palestinians have no effective means by which to challenge their administrative detention. Alashqar said that International law allowed the use of administrative detention within very narrow limits, if there is a serious danger that threatens the 'National Security', for a limited period, without renewal, and prisoners should know the reason behind his arrest .
He continued “Occupation authorities use this sort of detention as a deliberate policy and practice violating all the principles of the International humanitarian law; they arrest Palestinian civilians without specific charge or trial, based on secret information that prisoner and his lawyers are not allowed to know, what prevents them from crystallizing an effective and influential defense. It always happens to renew the Administrative detention and for many times.
Alashqer highlighted the issue of the administrative prisoners who have been on an open hunger strike for the sixth day, protesting the illegality of Israeli administrative dentition policy. He demanded Israeli occupation authorities to apply the article 9 of the International Convention on Civil and Political Rights.
Palestinian Prisoners center demanded to organize an international human right campaign that shows the illegality of Administrative detention and reveals the serious violations of the strict parameters established by international law.
Administrative detention is the most extreme measure that international humanitarian law allows an occupying power to use against residents of occupied territory. As such, states are not allowed to use it in a sweeping manner. To the contrary, administrative detention may be used against protected persons in occupied territory only for “imperative reasons of security” .

of the police attacking the Arab students, and expressed support with the police targeting the Arab-Palestinian students at the Hebrew University.
On Monday, a group known as “I will Not Serve In Your Army” issued a statement calling for mass protests, stressing on the importance of countering all Israeli attempts to enlist Arabs in the army that occupies their land and their people.
Qusai Abufool, coordinator of the Students Movement at the National Democratic Alliance, stated that the students will protest again, on Wednesday, at the Tel Aviv University and the Technion College.
He added that protests were held, Tuesday, at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and Ben Gurion University in the Negev, in protest of enlistment in the Israeli army.
“This attack is an attack against protesters practicing their legitimate right,” he said. “This is a racist attack against Arab-Palestinian students, university police and administration are responsible for this assault.”
Abufool further stated that the students will continue their protest, and called on all Arab students at the Tel Aviv University, and the Technion College to protest again on Wednesday.
Israel decided to call on Arab Christian young men to “voluntarily serve in the Israeli army”, while head of the coalition of Benjamin Netanyahu’s government said, a few weeks ago, that “Israel wants to create a new identity for Christians, similar to the Druze identity.”
Last week, the Higher Follow-up Committee in historic Palestine issued a release affirming the rejection to any sort of enlistment in the Israeli army, as the army is an army of occupation and oppression against the Palestinians, regardless of their faith.
In August of last year, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a meeting with Father Jubrael Naddaf, known for his stances encouraging enlistment in the Israeli military, despite massive objections from the Palestinian Christian community in the country.
Back then, the Palestinian Christian Initiative (Kairos Palestine) issued a statement strongly denouncing the Israel attempts to recruit Arab Palestinian Christians, in historic Palestine, to the Israeli military which occupies their people.
“Those who call for recruiting Christians to the occupation army do not represent us, do not represent our Churches, and do not represent the Christians,” Kairos said. “It seems that some of those who have been deceived chose a wrong path that does not serve our interests and faith as Arab Christians.”
It added that trying to recruit the Christians is immoral, and harms the Palestinian Christian identity in the Holy Land.
“We need to be united, we need to protect our national identity, only our Arab, Palestinian identity will be able to protect us, and protect our interests,” Kairos said. “Our choice will not be sectarian, but will only be national unity between all Palestinians regardless of their belief and faith.”

The Hamas Movement called on the world's free people and human rights organizations to support the cause of the Palestinian administrative detainees and expose Israel's violations against them. In a press release on Monday, Hamas hailed the steadfastness of 200 hunger striking administrative detainees in the face of all Israeli punitive measures taken against them in an attempt to dissuade them from their protest step.
The Movement said that Israel's suppression of the administrative detainees through locking them in isolation cells and depriving them of any medical care is a crime punishable under international law.
It stressed that Israel's persistent violations against the prisoners, especially those who are detained administratively, are desperate attempts to break their will and determination to extract their rights.

The detainee Asser Wakid, from Jenin, also suffers from severe neck pains and breathing problems, and he is in urgent need to undergo a surgery. Wakid spent 11 years out of his 13-year sentence.
The prisoner Hani Lahlouh, from Jenin, suffers for his part from severe teeth and abdominal pains. He spent 11 years in custody out of his 18-year sentence.
On the other hand, Palestinian detainees in Eshel prison complained Monday from Israeli strip search and night raid campaigns under the pretext of searching for mobile phones.
The Israeli prison administration has declared that the campaign will last from two weeks to one month.
Following his visit to Eshel prison, Rami al-Alami confirmed that Israeli prison administration informed the detainees of its intention to transfer a number of them to other jails during the coming days.
He noted that large Israeli forces brutally stormed section 11 and attacked the prisoners who were forced out of their rooms during the search campaign.
The Israeli administration has threatened to transfer 144 Palestinian detainees in section 11 to Nafha, Ramle and Negev prisons, the lawyer added.

Palestinian sick prisoner Khalil Mesbah from Jenin, north of the West Bank, has called on all national and international human rights organizations to immediately intervene to put an end to the medical neglect he has long been subject to in Israeli prisons. Khalil’s brother, Sari Mesbah, revealed in a press statement the family’s ongoing state of anxiety and unconditional concern over their son’s critical health status.
Sari urged all human rights institutions to rally around the family and “appeal to prominent international courts and committees against Israeli’s mistreatment of Palestinian patient prisoners.”
Recent medical diagnosis revealed surgical inflammations, to which Israeli Prison Services (IPS) have turned blind eyes after having pretended to take samples to find out the causes of the inflammation. But neither Khalil nor his family are updated about the findings of Israeli’s very belated medical check-ups.
Although Khalil had undergone EGD and other tests, yet his health status has been remarkably going down.
Prisoner Khalil, held in Negev prison and detained for more than 11 years, is sentenced to 20 years and diagnosed with infections in the colon and blood vessels.

Israeli police physically assaulted and then detained an employee of the Palestinian Ministry of Endowment in the al-Aqsa compound early Tuesday, witnesses told Ma'an.
Locals told Ma'an that police assaulted and detained Raed Zughayyar, who works for a construction committee of the ministry.
Zughayyar was detained after a heated argument broke out between Israeli police and Palestinian worshipers and students near the Cotton Merchant's Gate of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
An Israeli police spokesman was not immediately available for comment.
The al-Aqsa compound is a site of frequent clashes between Palestinians and Israeli police.
The compound, which sits just above the Western Wall plaza, houses both the Dome of the Rock and Al-Aqsa Mosque and is the third holiest site in Islam.
It is also venerated as Judaism's most holy place as it sits where Jews believe the First and Second Temples once stood.
Al-Aqsa is located in East Jerusalem, a part of the internationally recognized Palestinian territories that have been occupied by the Israeli military since 1967.
