The Palestinian Information Ministry has reported that there are nineteen Palestinian journalists who are still imprisoned by Israel, in direct violation of various treaties and International Law.
In a press statement Monday, the Ministry said that the Israeli occupation and its military courts are ongoing with their serious violations against the journalists and various media outlets in occupied Palestine.
It said that many journalists have also been forced under house arrest, others were forced out of their towns, in addition to facing high fines by the Israeli military courts for performing their duties.
The Ministry also said that some of the abducted journalists were shot and injured, while others are sick, in need of specialized medical treatment but are denied that right.
The soldiers also invaded and violently searched many media outlets across the West Bank, and confiscated equipment.
The Information Ministry stated that Israel’s violations are ongoing attempts to silence the Palestinian media outlets and the journalists, and urged the International Federation of Journalists, Reporters Without Borders, and various related organizations around the world to intervene and stop the escalating abuses against the media and the Freedom of the Press in occupied Palestine.
It is worth mentioning that the soldiers have also killed Palestinian Photojournalist Yasser Mortaja, and journalist Ahmad Abu Hussein, in the Gaza Strip, in addition to wounding dozens of journalists, during the Great Return March processions.

Israel's Magistrate's Court in Haifa on Sunday accepted a request to move Raed Salah, the leader of the Islamic Movement in the 1948 occupied Palestine, to house arrest in Umm al-Fahm city following a six-month house arrest in Kafr Kanna.
Representatives of the Israel Prison Service on Thursday visited Sheikh Salah's house in Umm al-Fahm to examine its conditions, and it was later decided to transfer him there while maintaining the restrictions imposed on him since his release from Israeli jails.
Salah's lawyer, Khaled Zabarqa, said that the Israeli court agreed to keep Salah under house arrest in Umm al-Fahm, provided that he does not speak to the media or pray in the mosque.
Zabarqa described the Israeli court's conditions as "unjust and arbitrary". He stressed, "The court had to allow Sheikh Raed to perform prayers, especially Friday prayers, in the mosque. These arbitrary and illegal conditions are unjustifiable."

Israeli forces detained at least 32 Palestinians in overnight raids carried out across the occupied West Bank, on predawn Monday.
The Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) said that Israeli police forces detained at least nine Palestinians from Jerusalem in the central West Bank, mostly in the Shufat, al-Tur, and Jabal al-Mukabbir areas.
The detainees were identified as Alaa Haddad, Ashraf Eweisat, Ayman Daajneh, Marwan Najib, Subhi Najib, Muhammad Gharabli, Youssef Abu al-Hawa, Hashem Abu al-Hawa and Amin Abu al-Hawa.
Some of the detainees were later released under the condition of being held under house arrest.
Israeli forces detained 19 Palestinians from the central West Bank district of Ramallah, including 14 from Kobar village, northwest of Ramallah.
Twenty one Palestinians were detained from the Ramallah and al-Bireh district; PPS identified them as Hamed Riyad Hamed and Saed Hamed from Silwad, Ashraf Saaf from al-Mazraa al-Sharqiya, former prisoner Abdullah Abu Shalbak and Jaber Mamdouh Jaber from Kafr Nimeh.
In addition to 14 Palestinians who were detained from the Kobar village; the detainees were identified as Jawdat Sarhan al-Barghouthi, Muhammad Sarhan al-Barghouthi, Muhammad Munir al-Barghouthi, Muhannad Rayyan al-Barghouthi, Miqdad Zahi al-Barghouthi, Ismail Zahi al-Barghouthi, Zahi Ismail al-Barghouthi, Yasser al-Fahl, Nael Omar Yassin, Muhammad Ibrahim al-Barghouthi, Abed Judeh Abu Maher, Muhammad Lutfi al-Barghouthi, Saher al-Barghouthi and Imad al-Barghouthi.
Israeli forces detained two Palestinians from the northern West Bank district of Jenin; they were identified as Muhammad Jihad Abu Bakr and Usama Amarneh.
Another two Palestinians from Salfit in the northern West Bank.
According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are 5,554 Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli prisons.
IOF kidnaps 25 Palestinians in West Bank raids
The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Monday arrested 25 Palestinians during West Bank sweeps.
The PIC reporter said that the IOF raided Kobar village, north of Ramallah, and arrested 12 Palestinian citizens.
Other Palestinians, including two ex-prisoners and a lawyer, were arrested in campaigns targeting Silwad and Ras Karkar villages, east and west of Ramallah respectively, he added.
The IOF further closed the road between Kobar and Burham villages and searched Palestinian houses in the area.
Local sources said that violent confrontations broke out between the IOF soldiers and Palestinian citizens during the raid.
The PIC reporter said that the IOF broke into the house of the Palestinian martyr Saleh al-Barghouti in Beit Rima town, west of Ramallah, and interrogated his wife.
In the nearby al-Ersal area in Ramallah, the IOF raided the house of the Palestinian journalist Alaa al-Rimawi and seized mobiles, laptops, and 7,000 NIS before they left.
At least six Palestinians were arrested in Jerusalem and two others in Ya'bad town in Jenin, local residents told the PIC reporter.
Meanwhile in Nablus, violent clashes broke out at daybreak during which the IOF heavily fired live ammunition and teargas canisters at the Palestinians.
The IOF raided many Palestinian houses and wreaked havoc on them, and abruptly closed Huwara checkpoint and blocked movement in both directions.

The soldiers invaded and ransacked many homes, causing excessive property damage, especially after they smashed main doors of a number of homes, in addition to the very violent searches.
Furthermore, the soldiers invaded the home of Saleh Omar Barghouthi, 29, who was killed by the army on December 12, 2018, interrogated his widow, Shaima’ Rimawi, for several others, and confiscated mobile phones and more than 7000 Shekels.
The soldiers also invaded and ransacked Omar Barghouthi, the father of Saleh, in Beit Rima town, north of Ramallah.

Israel prison guards on Sunday stormed section 1 at Raymond jail and assaulted Palestinian detainees held there.
The Palestinian Prisoner Society said in a brief statement that the Israeli guards broke into the prison rooms, wreaked havoc on them, and transferred all the 120 Palestinian prisoners inside to other places.
No further details were given on the incident.
The Israeli occupation forces in 2018 arrested about 6,500 Palestinians. The largest number of arrests was witnessed in December.
There are nearly 6,000 Palestinians in Israeli lock-ups, including 250 children, 54 girls and women, 8 MPs, 27 journalists, 450 administrative detainees, and 750 sick prisoners, 200 of whom need urgent care and treatment.

Israeli soldiers abducted, Sunday, a Palestinian Shepherd in Ein al-Hilwa area, in the Northern Plains of the occupied West Bank.
Human Rights activist Aref Daraghma said the soldiers attacked and abducted Ali Mohammad Awad while herding his sheep, and took him to an unknown destination.
Daraghma added that illegal Israeli colonialist settlers also chased several shepherds in the same area, which is subject to ongoing assaults and violations.
In many occasions, the colonists stole or slaughtered sheep, in addition to attacking the shepherds.

The Israeli army announced in a statement that its forces arrested two Palestinians in the West Bank.
However, Quds Press reported that the IOF kidnapped two children under age 16 identified as Mahdi Abu Hariya and Rakan Abu Mariya from their homes in Beit Ummar town, north of al-Khalil.
A reporter for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC), for his part, said that the IOF stormed at dawn the towns of Beit Furik, Tell and Iraq Burin in Nablus province as well as areas in al-Khalil, Bethlehem and Ramallah, with no reported arrests.
During an IOF campaign in al-Khalil, Israeli soldiers broke into and ransacked the houses of Mohamed Harb and Na’eim Shanaran in al-Hadidiya area, east of Yatta city.
In Bethlehem, the IOF raided the house of Ziyad Matar and stormed Beit Jala town.
In Ramallah, the IOF also stormed a house in al-Jalazoun refugee camp as well as several commercial stores in Beit Ur al-Tahta village.
In an earlier incident, an Israeli special force kidnapped a Palestinian young man from his home last night in Anata town, east of Jerusalem.
