PPCS: Health of two hunger strikers seriously declined

The Palestinian Prisoner Center for Studies (PPCS) has warned that the health conditions of hunger-striking prisoners Ahmed Ghannam, from al-Khalil, and Hudaifa Halbiya, from Jerusalem, have seriously worsened.

In a statement released on Saturday, PPCS said the health conditions of prisoners Ghannam and Halbiya reached disturbing and serious stages.

According to PPCS, Ghannam has been on hunger strike for 49 days in protest at his administrative detention and was transferred recently to the Ramla Hospital after he suffered health complications.

Ghannam has a weak immune system and he already survived a blood cancer.

As for prisoner Halbiya, he has entered the third month of his hunger strike in protest at his detention administratively.

He was transferred about two week ago to Barzilai Hospital after his health badly deteriorated as a result of his prolonged strike.

For Organizing Soccer Competition; Army Abducts The Head Of A Social Center, Its Administrator, And Its Coordinator, In Jerusalem
Israeli soldiers invaded, on Saturday evening, Burj Luqluq Social Center Society in the Old City of occupied East Jerusalem, and forced it shut, in addition to abducting its head of its executive administrator, and its coordinator, for organizing a soccer competition for Jerusalemite Palestinian families.

The soldiers and police officers invaded the social center, before abducting its executive administrator Montaser Edkeidik, in addition to handing the society an order barring it from conducting its planned soccer competition, which include ten Palestinian families from occupied Jerusalem. video video video

Earlier Saturday, the soldiers abducted Nasser Gheith, the head of the center, in addition to the coordinator of the Families’ Soccer League, Ala’ Jamjoum, and took them to interrogation facilities in occupied Jerusalem. video
The invasion into the center, and the abduction of the three Palestinians, are part of Israel’s escalating violations against the Palestinians, their homes and lands in occupied Jerusalem, and its illegal policies barring the Palestinians from conducting any activities, to assert its control over the occupied city.
Palestinian kid and young man kidnaped by IOF in W. Bank

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Saturday kidnaped two Palestinian citizens, including a child, from their homes in Kobar town, north of Ramallah city in the West Bank.

According to local sources, the IOF stormed the house of prisoner Khaldoun al-Barghouthi and kidnaped his son Obeida.

Another young man identified as Nasrallah Sarhan was taken prisoner after the IOF ransacked his home in the same town.

The IOF also engaged in clashes with local youths during its campaign in the town.

IOF kidnaps five Palestinians from Gaza

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Friday evening kidnaped five Gazan young men after four of them infiltrated through the border fence into Israel.

A spokesperson for the Israeli army said that four young men were arrested after they crossed into Israel from southern Gaza, claiming they were found in possession of a grenade and a knife.

Earlier on the same day, the IOF kidnaped a young passenger from Gaza at the Beit Hanoun (Erez) border crossing, north of Gaza.

The Palestinian liaison office said the Israeli security authorities at the crossing told it that a passenger called Walid al-Battrikhi, a resident of al-Shuja’iyya neighborhood in the east of Gaza City, was denied travel and arrested, without providing further details.

Army Shoots A Palestinian Fighter In Northern Gaza

Israeli soldiers shot and moderately injured, Friday, a Palestinian resistance fighter of the National Resistance Brigades, the armed wing of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP), in northern Gaza.

The Palestinian was injured after the soldiers fired a barrage of live rounds at a site, run by the Brigades, in northern Gaza.

In a statement, the National Resistance Brigades said the attack is part of Israel’s ongoing violations, and added that its fighters will continue to train and remain ready for any Israeli escalation, especially amidst the serious violations against the Palestinian people, not only in Gaza, but also in the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem.

In addition, the Israeli army said that its soldiers arrested, on Friday evening, four Palestinians, who reportedly crossed the perimeter fence, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, “carrying knives and grenades.”

Israel arrests Palestinian upon return from treatment abroad

The Israeli occupation forces on Thursday night arrested a Palestinian girl as she arrived at al-Karama crossing coming from the United Arab Emirates.

Local sources told the PIC reporter that the Israeli forces stopped Mariam Abu Obeid, a resident of the West Bank city of Jenin, at al-Karama crossing and detained her.

Abu Obeid, who was on her way back home following medical treatment in the United Arab Emirates, was arrested for no apparent reason.
