Israeli police on Monday arrested a Jerusalemite old man, Abu Feras Jarjour, along with his son at Hetta gate of al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem. Israeli policemen brutally assaulted the father and his son before rounding them up.
The police attack outraged the Palestinians who witnessed the incident, resulting in altercations which were about to turn into clashes.
Earlier on Monday, Israeli police arrested a Palestinian young man at al-Majlis gate and took him to a police station in the Old City of Occupied Jerusalem.

The Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) on Sunday sentenced the Palestinian MP Omar Abdul Razaq to administrative detention, with neither charge nor trial.
Abdul Razaq’s son, Muhammed, said on Facebook that the IOA sentenced his father to a four-month administrative prison term.
MP Abdul Razaq, who served as a finance minister following the 2006 national elections, was kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces on Sunday, July 23, from his family home in Salfit. He had spent over nine years in Israeli lock-ups.
13 other Palestinian detainees had been subjected to administrative sentences on Sunday.
According to lawyer Ashraf Abu Esneineh, from the prisoners and ex-prisoners committee, 13 prisoners received administrative terms ranging between three and six months.
At least 6,500 Palestinian detainees are incarcerated in 22 Israeli penitentiaries across the occupied Palestinian territories, among whom 56 female detainees, 350 children, 12 MPs, and some 500 administrative detainees.

Violent clashes broke out between Palestinian youths and Israeli police in occupied Jerusalem on Sunday evening.
The clashes erupted when Israeli police brutally attacked and severely beat an elderly man in Salah al-Din neighborhood, the PIC reporter said.

The Israeli Salem military court on Sunday sentenced the Palestinian media student Asem Mustafa al-Shanar, from Nablus province, to eight months in jail.
Speaking with PIC, al-Shanar’s family said the Israeli court sentenced their relative to an eight-month prison term, a fine of up to 2,000 shekels, and an 18-month suspended term.
According to the family, the verdict was read out following exhaustive deliberations at the court hearing.
The detainee was kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces some five months earlier. His brother, Montasser, was arrested shortly after and held in administrative detention, with neither charge nor trial.

Israeli soldiers abducted, overnight and at dawn Monday, at least 44 Palestinians in the West Bank, including 30 from occupied East Jerusalem, during massive invasions and violent searches of homes.
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) has reported that the soldiers invaded many Palestinian communities in the West Bank, before storming and violently searched dozens of homes.
It added that dozens of soldiers invaded several neighborhoods in occupied East Jerusalem, especially in at-Tour, interrogated many Palestinians while searching their homes, and abducted thirty.
They have been identified as Ahmad Jawdat Idrees, Ahmad Jawdat Razem, Maher Abu Jom’a, Ahmad Marwan Abu Jom’a, Ibrahim Arafat Abu Sbeitan, As’ad Jamil Abu al-Hawa, Ahmad Imad Za’tari, Ahmad Abu Jom’a, Khaled Moghrabi, Fares Abu Ghannam, Majd Sayyad, Firas Ibrahim Khweiss, Mohammad Arafat Abu Esbeitan, Ali Abu Jom’a, Mohannad Abi Jom’a, Amir Qarawi, Mohammd Jouda Abu al-Hawa, Mohammad Abu Esbeitan, Raed Sa’ad Najm, Mohamad Azzam Annous, Ismael Tawfiq Mheisin, Fadlallah Mohammad Abbasi, Mahmoud Zeid Qaaq, Mohammad Shalloudi, Mohammad Ajlouni, Ayham Za’anin, in addition to three children; Hamza Zaki Khweiss, Ramez Waheeb Ajlouni and Noureddin Maher Mheisin,

In Jenin, in northern West Bank, the soldiers abducted Nahed Ahmad Kabaha, while Montaser Sa’id al-Ashab, 24, and his brother Mohammad, 21, were taken prisoner in Qalqilia governorate, in northern West Bank.
36 Palestinians arrested in predawn raids
The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested at dawn Monday 36 Palestinians in predawn raids into different parts of West Bank and occupied Jerusalem.
IOF claimed in a press statement issued early today that 16 “wanted” Palestinians were rounded up for being involved in anti-occupation activities.
According to the statement, three arrests were carried out in occupied Jerusalem while another young man was detained west of Jenin.
Three others were arrested in Qalqilia and Ramallah north of West Bank, while two arrests were reported south of Bethlehem.
Seven other Palestinians were kidnapped from their houses in al-Khalil to the south of West Bank.
The PIC field reporter affirmed that the IOF carried out a raid and arrest campaign in Bethlehem where two youths were detained from their houses in Duheisheh refugee camp.
Violent clashes broke out following the raids. At least two youths were injured during the confrontations.
Another young man was rounded up from the neighboring town of Doha.
In Occupied Jerusalem, at least 18 youths were arrested overnight while rights sources affirmed that the arrests were raised at dawn Monday to reach 25.
The arrests were mainly carried out in al-Tur and Silwan towns.
In Jenin, IOF soldiers intensified their presence early today throughout the city and erected a number of checkpoints after unknown persons threw an explosive device at an Israeli military checkpoint in the area.
A 51-year-old man was arrested after IOF violently stormed and searched his house in Yabad town, south of the city.
Raids were also reported north of Salfit where four youths were detained.
