Israeli soldiers abducted, Wednesday, the secretary of Fateh Movement in the al-‘Isawiya town, in occupied East Jerusalem.
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) said the soldiers invaded the town, before storming and ransacking the home of Fateh movement’s secretary, Yasser Darwish.
It added that the soldiers interrogated the official, along with his family, while examining his ID card, before taking him prisoner.
In related news, the soldiers invaded the home of Jihad Nasser Qous, 25, in the Old City, and summoned him for interrogation in the al-Qashla detention facility, in Hebron Gate area. Jihad is the son of Nasser Qous, the head of the Jerusalem office of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society.
It is worth mentioning that the Israeli army has been frequently invading al-Isawiya, searching dozens of homes and property, in addition to abducting dozens of youngsters and demolishing homes, structures and other property.
The invasions led to ongoing protests in the town, and the soldiers killed earlier this month a young man, identified as Mohammad Samir Obeid, 20.

An Israeli military court on Tuesday sentenced lawyer Tareq Barghouth to 13 and a half years.
Lawyer Barghouth works for the Palestinian Commission of Detainees’ and Ex-Detainees’ Affairs, an affiliate of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).
According to the Commission, the military court of Ofer sentenced him to jail based on fabrications used to justify his detention after Israeli interrogators tried to make him confess to participating in shooting attacks.
The Israeli occupation forces kidnaped the lawyer on February 27, 2019 and later they also kidnaped his wife and brother for a while to pressure him to make certain confessions.
In another incident, the Israeli intelligence transferred 25-year-old Shurouq al-Badan to administrative detention for six months, with no indictment or trial.
Badan was kidnaped from her house in Tequ town in Bethlehem at dawn on July 15 and was detained in Etzion interrogation center and then in Sharon jail before transferring her to Ramon jail, where she is being locked up in a very tight cell.

The Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday closed the main entrances to Azzun town in Qalqilya and kidnaped a Palestinian young man at a makeshift checkpoint.
According to local sources, the IOF closed the northern and western entrances to the town with road barriers, leading to heavy build-ups of traffic.

A few hours after summoning a four-year-old child in Jerusalem, the Israeli occupation police issued on Tuesday a summons for interrogation against another kid.
According to local sources in Issawiya district, 6-year-old Qais Obeid received a summons from the Israeli police ordering him to go to one of their stations in the holy city on Wednesday morning.

Israeli forces abducted 13 Palestinians in early-morning raids on Wednesday in Nablus, Tulkarem and Hebron.
Raids also occurred near Jenin and Ramallah, but no abductions took place there.
According to the Wafa News Agency, Israeli occupation forces abducted four Palestinians from the southern Hebron governorate on Wednesday.
According to local security sources, Jawad Khader al-Jabari, Ibrahim Nimr al-Ja’bari from Hebron and Imad Abdel-Aziz al-Batran from the town of Ithna west of Hebron were taken by Israeli troops.
The Israeli occupation forces also abducted four young men, including three brothers from Tulkarem, on Wednesday.
According to the office of the Prisoner’s Society in Tulkarem, the Israeli forces arrested brothers Yusef Hilmi Abu Khalil, 20, Mujahid, 19, and Leith, 18, from the village of Shufa southeast of the province, following the raid on their homes.
Israeli occupation forces also abducted five Palestinians from the city of Nablus on Wednesday.
According to local and security sources, the Israeli occupation forces stormed several neighborhoods in the city. They arrested three Palestinians: Yasser Manna ‘, Marwan’ Ateini and Fadel al-Kurdi, while Jihad Awartani was abducted at a military checkpoint on the road between Ramallah and Nablus.
The sources added that the occupation forces stormed the village of Beit Dajan in the east, and arrested the young Maawiya Afif Hanini, after the raid on the house of his family and search of the home.
In addition, Israeli occupying forces raided and searched a number of houses of Palestinian prisoners in the towns of Silat al-Harthiya and Yamoun, west of Jenin, on Wednesday before dawn.

He pointed out that clashes broke out between the young men and the occupation soldiers, who fired sound bombs and tear gas towards them, but no injuries were reported.
These nightly raids occur every morning in the West Bank, with Israeli forces pulling youth from their beds while sleeping, in an attempt to instill fear in the Palestinian population as a whole.

The Maan Palestinian News Agency has reported that a detainee, from Deheishe refugee camp, south of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank, has refused an offer to be released in four months in exchange for ending his hunger strike, and added that the detainee is demanding that any offer must include his two detained friends.
It said that Mohammad Nidal Abu ‘Aker, 25, who was abducted on November 1st, 2018, is also a former political prisoner, and started a hunger strike, along with Mustafa al-Hasanat, 21, from Deheishe, and Hotheifa Halabiyya, 28, from Abu Dis town, near Jerusalem.
Abu Aker, who turned 25 this past Monday, started the hunger strike 29 days ago, along with al-Hasanat and Halabiyya.
It is worth mentioning that al-Hasanat was abducted and imprisoned three times, including his current imprisonment after he was abducted on June 5th, 2018, and was slapped with three consecutive arbitrary Administrative Detention orders.
He was also shot and injured by Israeli soldiers several times before and is still suffering from the effects of those injuries.
In addition, Hotheifa Halabiyya was abducted and imprisoned three times, and is facing several complications, especially since he was previously treated for leukemia and requires constant checkups. He is a married father who has been imprisoned since he was abducted on July 10th 2018.
