Israeli plain-clothes officers on Thursday kidnapped a West Bank young man during his presence in the Arab city of Tamra in the Lower Galilee (north of the 1948 occupied territories).
Informed sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that police officers in civilian attire kidnapped a Palestinian young man called Khalil al-Qarem in Tamra city.
Qarem is from the West Bank town of Jalqamus and he was kidnapped from his workplace in the city.

Israeli authorities decided Thursday to release a Palestinian female prisoner, who was shot and injured in the leg several days ago for allegedly planning an attack in occupied Jerusalem.
Khawla Shahatit was shot and injured by Israeli police on Sunday evening after they suspected her of planning an attack.
She was taken to an Israeli hospital, where she was held in custody. Police later said that she was not carrying any weapon.
Attorney Mufeed al-Haj of the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society affirmed that Israeli authorities informed him of their decision to release her, days before her court hearing.
Khawla is still in hospital where she underwent surgery in her right leg and her condition is reported stable, said al-Haj.

The soldiers invaded the refugee camp through its main entrance, and fired many live rounds, including expanding bullets, and gas bombs, at many youngsters, who hurled stones the armored military jeeps.
Medical sources said the soldiers shot five Palestinians with live fire and the Toto expanding bullets, before they were rushed to a local hospital.

Head of the Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission Issa Qaraqe on Wednesday said that the Palestinian administrative detainees in Israeli jails are planning to start a hunger strike in June.
Qaraqe in press statements said that the administrative detainees' boycott of Israeli courts is still ongoing.
The detainees on 15th February started an open-ended boycott of Israeli military courts in protest at their detention without charge or trial and at the increasing number of administrative detention orders issued by the Israeli occupation authorities.
According to Palestinian human rights organizations, there are 500 administrative detainees locked up in Israeli jails.
The detainees called in an earlier statement for bringing their cases to the International Criminal Court and making every possible effort at all levels to put an end to the injustice they are exposed to.
In another context, Qaraqe expressed concern over the health condition of the Palestinian prisoner Hassan al-Tamimi who is being held in the intensive care unit at Shaare Zedek hospital after his health deteriorated two days ago in Ofer prison.

Israeli naval forces intercepted a boat that set out from Gaza shores on Tuesday in hopes of breaking Israel’s decade-long blockade of the Gaza Strip.
In a statement, National Committee for Breaking Gaza’s Siege said Israeli naval vessels had surrounded the boat nearly four hours after sailing into Gaza’s sea.
The PIC reporter, who was escorting the voyage in another boat till it reached the end of the fishing zone allowed by Israel, said that the boat was surrounded roughly 11 nautical miles off Gaza’s coast.
However, spokesperson for the committee Adham Abu Silmiyya affirmed that the boat was attacked by four Israeli war vessels 14 nautical miles off Gaza’s coast before being towed to Israel’s port of Ashdod.
He held Israel “fully responsible” for the safety of everyone aboard the boat, going on to urge the international community to extend protection to the beleaguered Palestinian people.
