Muhjet Quds Institution for Martyrs and Prisoners identified Sunday the prisoner who carried out the stab operation in Negev prison as the Islamic Jihad Movement-affiliated prisoner Fares Sada.
The Israeli Prison Service (IPS) cut off electricity in Negev prison as a prelude to its Special Forces’ violent break-in into the wards, the institution reported.
During a night right, Israeli forces deliberately provoked Palestinian prisoners held in Negev prison, enraging the prisoner Fares Sada, 20, who, in response, attacked one of the soldiers with a sharp object.

The attack took place inside a prison facility in the Negev Desert southern Israel, Channel 7 said, noting that the Palestinian prisoner was a member of Islamic Jihad.

Palestinian activists, meanwhile, said Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails would attack prison guards only when offended.
There are around 6,500 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails at present, according to Palestinian official figures.

The Palestinian liberated prisoner Faisel Sabana was subjected to an attempted murder at the hands of an Israeli doctor during his detention in Jalama detention center.
"On November 15, 2014, an Israeli nurse asked me unusually to take two pills of Coumadin medication as it was ordered by the clinic’s doctor," Sabana said.
"I used to take only a half of a pill as I suffer from high blood pressure and heart disease. They convinced me to take the two pills claiming that I suffer from diabetic which I did not have it before," he continued.
Since then, he started suffering from health complications as he became unable to wake up for himself. Doctors in Megiddo prison clinic told him to stop taking the Coumadin medication after it caused him serious health deterioration.
Few days later, Sabana was transferred to Afula hospital after his health situation dramatically worsened. He underwent medical tests while his right leg was tied to the iron bed, according to his testimony.
"While in Afula hospital, i was checked by two doctors and a nurse who told me that the doctor in Jalama clinic intended to kill me," he said.
Sabana, a leader in Hamas Movement, was arrested in October 2014 and sentenced to six months.

Israeli soldiers invaded, on Friday morning, the town of Hizma, north of occupied East Jerusalem, kidnapped two Palestinians, and forced shut dozens of stores and shops.
The SAFA News Agency said several Israeli military vehicles invaded the town during early morning hours, and were largely deployed in Abu George Street, before forcing store owners to close their businesses.
The soldiers also kidnapped two Palestinians, identified as Mohammad Nasri and Hussein Fakhri, before taking them to an unknown destination.
It is worth mentioning that Hizma has been subject to frequent invasions over the past two weeks, while the soldiers repeatedly install roadblocks and isolate it from its surrounding Palestinian communities.
