An Israeli court postponed on Thursday the trial of the Palestinian journalist Lama Khater, 42, to 30 January 2019.
Khater was detained on July 24 for “incitement charge.” Since then, she was subjected to harsh and intensive interrogation.

An Israeli military court renewed on Thursday the detention of an elderly Palestinian prisoner for five days in spite of his deteriorating health condition, the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) said.
According to the PPS, the detention of Omar Barghouti, 66, was extended for five days pending investigation.
Barghouti was detained along with his son, Asef, on December 12 from his home hours after Israeli soldiers shot and killed his son, Saleh, outside Ramallah.
PPS said Omar Barghouti, who himself had already spent a total of 26 years in Israeli prisons some he served as administrative detainee without charge or trial and based on “secret evidence”, had a heart attack in recent years and underwent several surgeries. He is also diabetic and takes 12 kinds of medicines.
Yet, he is kept in a small and cold cell at the notorious al-Maskoubia Compound and is forced to sleep on the cold ground.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Thursday raided homes and kidnapped several Palestinian citizens in different West Bank areas.
In Tulkarem, the IOF kidnapped two citizens and clashed with young men during a campaign in Tulkarem refugee camp.
Local sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that Israeli soldiers aboard seven military vehicles stormed Tulkarem camp and kidnapped two ex-detainees identified as Musa'ab al-Hasri and Haytham Balidi from their homes.
The IOF also stormed areas around Tulkarem city and set up a checkpoint on Anabta road.
In Nablus, two Palestinian young men were taken prisoners during an IOF campaign in Balata refugee camp and Asira town.
In Bethlehem, violent clashes broke out in al-Deheisheh refugee camp between local youths and Israeli soldiers after the latter tried to kidnap a young man called Mohamed Abu Akar from the camp.
The IOF also broke into and ransacked a house belonging to the mayor of the Tuqu town in the east of Bethlehem, without making arrests.
A young man identified as Mohamed Bannat was reportedly taken prisoner last night at the Container checkpoint, east of Bethlehem.
An Israel military force also stormed Kobar town in Ramallah and smashed the door of a reception room belonging to the family of al-Barghouthi.

Locals reported that Israeli forces detained two Palestinians from Hebron, in the southern West Bank, they were identified as Majdi Muhammad Rasras, 22, and Yazid Abu Rmeileh.
Israeli forces also assaulted Abu Rmeileh’s younger brother who was with him in the Old City of Hebron during his detention.
In Nablus City in the northern West Bank, locals reported that Israeli forces raided the Balata refugee camp and detained one youth identified as Muhammad Ahmad Saoudi, and Ahmad Abed al-Hadi Hamadneh from the Assira al-Shamaliya town.

According to Farwana, Halabi is being held in Nafha jail, where he is exposed to constant maltreatment and pressure by jailers to force him to make confessions about the accusations leveled against him.

The Palestinian prisoner Ahmed al-Nuri, from Nablus, was placed in administrative detention for six months immediately after his release from Megiddo prison, rights sources said on Wednesday.
The Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) said that Ahmed al-Nuri was held in administrative detention after completing his five-month prison sentence.
Al-Nuri was arrested in August after Israeli forces stormed and brutally searched his family house.
He was prevented from giving last farewell to his father who died in October 2018.

The ministry added that he was injured with two bullets in the leg.

The Palestinian Commission of Detainees’ and Ex-Detainees’ Affairs on Tuesday filed a legal request asking the urgent release of Palestinian prisoner Sami Abu Diyak, a cancer patient, from an Israeli jail due to the deterioration of his health condition.
According to a statement released by the Commission, prisoner Abu Diyak, from Silat ad-Dhahr town in Jenin, was recently transferred to Assaf Harofeh Hospital after he suffered health complications.
Abu Diyak suffers from intestinal cancer and underwent surgery in September 2015 before he was transferred to the infirmary of Ramla jail, where he was exposed to poisoning and contamination because the facility lacked cleanliness in general.
Later, the prisoner was transferred to Assaf Harofeh Hospital and then again to Ramla infirmary.
The Commission held the Israeli prison service fully responsible for the life of Abu Diyak, and appealed to international human rights groups and the Red Cross to visit the prisoner immediately and pressure the Israeli side to release him in order for him to have access to appropriate medical treatment.
