Shireen Iraqi, a lawyer with the Palestinian Detainees’ Committee, stated that detainee Amir As’ad, 35, who is paralyzed and imprisoned by Israel, started a hunger strike twelve days ago, protesting bad treatment and being held in an inaccessible section in Galboa’ prison.
Iraqi said the detainee, from Kafr Kanna town in the Galilee, cannot move around without his wheelchair, but was placed in an inaccessible section in Galboa’ prison, in addition to being constantly harassed by the soldiers.
The detainee told Iraqi that the only section in the prison is Section 1, as the shower and toilet rooms have wider doors, but the administration is refusing to move him there.
The Detainees’ Committee expressed its concerns about the well-being and health of the detainee, especially since he was placed in solitary confinement, and demanded his immediate and unconditional release.
It is worth mentioning that As’ad was abducted in 2012 and was sentenced to six and a half years in prison but spent the past six years in the Ramla prison clinic, before he was moved to Galboa’ prison.
The Committee stated that the demands of the detainee are simple and basic human rights, as he is only asking to be placed in an accessible facility until he is released this coming June.

Dozens of Israeli soldiers invaded, on Monday at dawn, Nabi Saleh village, northwest of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, and abducted a wounded child, and nine other Palestinians, mainly children, from Tamimi family, during extensive and violent searches of their homes.
Media sources in Ramallah said the soldiers abducted a wounded child, identified as Mohammad Fadel Tamimi, 15, and his brother Tamim, 17.
It is worth mentioning that Mohammad was shot two months ago in the head, and is still in a serious condition, awaiting a new surgery scheduled for early March.
The soldiers also abducted Soheib Sameeh Tamimi, 14, Ahmad Sami Tamimi, 19, Moayyad Hamza Tamimi, 17, Mohammad Mojahed Tamimi, 15, Amjad Abdul-Hafith Tamimi, 28, Omar Saleh Tamimi, 29, Islam Saleh Tamimi, 21, and We’am Eyad Tamimi, 17.
Nabi Saleh has been under constant Israeli attacks, invasions and violations since the army abducted ‘Ahed Tamimi, 17, and her mother, especially after various Israeli media outlets, Israeli social media posts and even government officials started a massive incitement campaign against Ahed, and the entire village.
The village has been frequently attacked by armed colonialist settlers, who also closed roads and tried to prevent the Palestinians from entering or leaving it.
The Palestinian Detainees Ministry warned of the sharp rise in the Israeli abductions of children, and the constant violent invasions and searches of homes, which led to extensive damage and terrified entire families.
Commenting on Monday’s invasions of homes and abductions, the committee said that the soldiers invaded Nabi Saleh and Deir Nitham town, northwest of Ramallah, and carried out massive violent searches of homes, and added that such violations reflect the racist nature of the occupation and its military, targeting all Palestinians, especially the children.
It called on the International Red Cross and all legal and human rights groups to intervene and provide the needed protection to the Palestinian people, and their properties.

Heavily-armed Israeli patrols further rolled into Qalqilya province, in the northern occupied West Bank, and ransacked dozens of Palestinian homes in Azzoun town, to the east.
The IOF cracked down on Palestinians’ free movement and banned access out of and into the town overnight.
Israeli soldiers attacked Palestinian anti-occupation youngsters with randomly-discharged spates of teargas grenades, resulting in several suffocation cases.
Palestinian locals have been made to endure exhaustive interrogation and crackdowns by the occupation forces all the way through the assault.
In the meantime, the Israeli military tightened military grip on al-Khalil province, in the southern occupied West Bank, and sealed off its access roads with makeshift roadblocks, where Palestinian drivers have been intensively inspected and searched.
Palestinian ex-prisoner Mootassem al-Natsha, the brother of slain Maamoun al-Natsha, was kidnapped by the IOF in the assault.

Palestinian mother and daughter Rusaila Shamasneh, 48, and Sara Shamasneh, 14, will be released on Sunday, 25 February, from Israeli occupation prisons.
The Shamasneh women are the mother and sister, respectively of Mohammed Shamasneh, 23, who was killed by Israeli occupation forces in 2016.
They were seized from their home in Qatana in occupied Jerusalem by occupation forces who raided their home on 31 January.
During their detention, Rusaila Shamasneh conducted a hunger strike for 17 days against her forcible separation from her young daughter until she and Sara were sentenced to 40 days in prison on Monday, 20 February.
Both Shamasneh and Sara were accused of “incitement” for their statements at the funeral of their son and brother over two years ago; Rusaila was also accused of firing a gun into the air.
Mohammed participated in an armed resistance operation in which he seized a gun of an Israeli occupation soldier. Sara was only 12 years old at the time.
Nevertheless, over two years later, occupation forces invaded their home and seized mother and daughter. Rusaila Shamasneh’s hunger strike served as a strong mechanism of pressure on the Israeli occupation, continuing until their sentencing. Their lawyer then appealed for their early release, which is being implemented today.

Ismail Saleh abu-Riyaleh 18
The Israeli occupation navy shot dead, on Sunday evening, a Palestinian fishermen and wounded two others while they were fishing off the Gaza coast, Palestinian and Israeli sources said.
Head of Syndicate of Palestinian Fishermen Nizar Ayyash said that the three fishermen were aboard a fishing boat, on their way back to the port, when the Israeli gunboats opened fire at them.
“All of them were directly targeted,” he said, noting that all of them, including the one who was killed, were abducted by the navy.
While he did not know the reason why the Israeli occupation navy had opened fire on the men, Ayyash stressed that they did not cross the fishing limit defined by the Israeli occupation.
Ayyash identified the three fishermen as Mahmoud Adel abu-Riyaleh, Ahed Hassan abu-Riyaleh and Ismail Saleh abu-Riyaleh.
Meanwhile, according to Days of Palestine, an Israeli source claimed that the Israeli navy opened fire at the boat of the three fishermen after “violating” the fishing limits.
“The Israeli navy opened fire at the body of the boat, but they were wounded and one of them suffered serious injuries and passed away later on,” the Israeli source said.
According to the source, the two wounded fishermen were turned over to prison authorities, in order to be investigated.
The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PCHR) has said that all Israeli attacks on Palestinian fishermen have taken place within the distance of six nautical miles, which it said “proves that Israeli forces’ policies aim to tighten restrictions on the Gaza Strip’s fishermen and their livelihoods.”
Gaza fisherman killed, 2 injured in shooting attack by Israeli navy
A Palestinian fisherman was fatally shot and two others injured on Sunday after Israeli naval forces opened fire on a fishing boat despite sailing within the unilaterally designated fishing zone offshore al-Sudaniya area, north of Gaza city.
Israeli navy opened heavy fire on a Palestinian fishing boat carrying three fishermen, killing one of them and arresting the two others after critically injuring them, head of Gaza’s Fishermen Union, Nizar Ayyash, told the Palestinian Information Center.
Israeli army spokesperson claimed the boat exceeded the permitted area for fishing and came within the reach of the occupied Zikim coast, north of the blockaded Gaza Strip.
The Israeli military spokesman also denounced reports that two Israeli soldiers were injured in the incident.
He added that one fisherman was critically wounded and succumbed to his wounds shortly afterwards. The two other fishermen were transferred to hospitals for treatment before being dragged to detention centers for further questioning.
Israeli navy and troops routinely open fire on Palestinian fishermen sailing within the six-nautical-mile zone and farmers working in farmlands along the border, flagrantly violating the ceasefire deal that was struck following 2014’s offensive on the Gaza enclave.
The current six-nautical-mile fishing zone falls drastically short of the twenty nautical miles allocated to Palestinian fishermen in the 1993 Oslo Accords.

Hamas has strongly condemned the deadly shooting attack, which it said is another Israeli crime against the Palestinian people.

The Israeli navy on Saturday morning arrested two Palestinian fishermen off Gaza shore.
Head of the Palestinian Fishermen Union in Gaza, Nizar Ayyash, told Anadolu Agency that the Israeli navy arrested two Palestinians while they were fishing off northern Gaza shore and transferred them to Ashdod port.

An Israeli special force at dawn Saturday kidnapped the injured Palestinian youth Akram al-Atrash, 23, from al-Dheisheh refugee camp in Bethlehem.
The PIC reporter said that a special force riding a civilian car at 2:00 am raided the camp, broke into al-Atrash's house and arrested him.
Al-Atrash, whom the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) have been chasing for four months, was taken to an unknown destination.
Local sources told the PIC reporter that Palestinian youths in the camp tried to thwart the arrest operation by confronting the IOF soldiers with empty bottles and Molotov cocktails but they could not as the soldiers showered them with live bullets and tear gas canisters injuring a young man in the foot.
The IOF had raided al-Atrash's house and arrested his father many times before in an attempt to force him to hand himself in. They also threatened to assassinate him if he did not do so.
In an interview with the PIC reporter, al-Atrash's father, Imran, held the Palestinian Authority responsible for his son's life and blamed it for not offering him any assistance to complete his treatment or at least protecting him from arrest while he is in such a difficult health condition.
Akram al-Atrash was seriously injured about four months ago by explosive bullets in the chest and shoulder during clashes with the IOF in al-Dheisheh camp.
After he was denied treatment at Hadassah Hospital in Occupied Jerusalem, Akram tried to obtain a medical referral to complete his treatment anywhere else but he could not as he was constantly chased by the IOF.
