Several Palestinian prisoners suffered injuries in Ofer jail, west of Ramallah, after special Israeli forces stormed their cells on Monday and moved many prisoners to other detention facilities.
According to the Palestinian Prisoner Society, the prisoners’ sections were raided after the Ofer jailers claimed that prisoner Rabie Asfour, 31, stabbed and injured one of them.
There is still no information about the nature of injuries sustained by the prisoners.
The Ofer jailers cancelled family visits to the prison until further notice and transferred 38 prisoners to the jails of Ramon, Negev, Nafha and Ayalon. Interrogation sessions were also held for four prisoners.
A stabbing incident reportedly took place on Monday morning in Ofer jail, where a prisoner attacked and injured a prison guard.
The incident came after Israeli jailers escalated their provocative and suppressive measures recently against Palestinian prisoners, especially after they separated many detained minors from adult prisoners, who represent and take care of them, and transferred them from Ofer jail to Damon jail.

Israeli forces today detained 19 Palestinians, including a village mayor, and assaulted others in several overnight raids across the West Bank, said the Palestine Prisoner Society (PPS).
Israeli forces rounded up seven Palestinians from the southern West Bank district of Hebron, it explained. One of them was identified as mayor of Beit Kahel, a town located to the northwest of Hebron.
Four others, including a 16-year-old, a 17-year-old and a former prisoner, were all identified as residents of Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron.
In the northern West Bank, PPS said an Israeli military raid in Jenin refugee camp resulted in the detention of three Palestinians. The raid triggered confrontations during which soldiers opened fire towards protestors. No injuries were reported though.
A similar predawn raid was conducted in Jalqamus village, southeast of Jenin, resulting in the detention of another.
Soldiers rearrested a former prisoner after ransacking his house in Siris town, south of Jenin.
Meanwhile, soldiers detained three Palestinians, including two former prisoners, in raids across Nablus district. One of the detainees was identified as a resident of Askar area and another as a resident of Beita town, south of Nablus.
In Qalqilia district, a similar overnight raid was carried out in Azzun town, east of Qalqilia city, resulting in the detention of two men.
In Salfit district, Israeli military stormed Qarawat Bani Hassan town, northwest of Salfit city, where soldiers rearrested a former prisoner.
In Ramallah district, PPS said that soldiers carried out a raid in Birzeit town, north of Ramallah city, where they detained a Palestinian.

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) has confirmed that Israeli soldiers abducted, on Wednesday at dawn, fifteen Palestinians, including two children and the mayor of Beit Kahil town, in the occupied West Bank.
The PPS said the soldiers stormed and violently searched dozens of homes across the West Bank, and interrogated many Palestinians while inspecting their ID card.
The PPS office in Jenin governorate, in northern West Bank, said the soldiers abducted four Palestinians, identified as Mahmoud Arafat Sa’adi, Azmi Eyad Hosniyya, and Mohammad Asri Fayyad, from Jenin refugee camp.
It added that the soldiers also abducted Bara’ Tawfiq Mahmoud, from his home in Siris village, south of Jenin, and Khalil Mohammad al-Qarm, from Jilqamous village, east of Jenin.
In Nablus, in northern West Bank, the soldiers abducted Salahuddin Dweikat, from his home in Askar refugee camp, east of the city, and a former political prisoner, identified as Saher Jaber Hamayel, from Beita town, south of Nablus.
Furthermore, the soldiers abducted Mahmoud Ghannawi, 40, and Abdul-Hadi Shbeita, 35, from their homes in Azzoun town, east of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia.

The Jenin office of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS), said the soldiers abducted Mohammad Jamil Zeidan, 24, after stopping him at Za’tara military roadblock, south of Nablus.
It added that the young man is from Jaba’ town, south of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, and that the soldiers took him to a nearby military base.

Dozens of Jewish settlers on Tuesday morning desecrated the Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards under tight police protection.
According to local sources, 45 settlers entered the Mosque through the Mosque’s al-Maghariba Gate and toured its courtyards under police guard.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation police banished a Jerusalemite young woman called Aya Abu Nab from the Aqsa Mosque for four months on a charge of her frequent presence near or in the Mosque’s Bab al-Rahma prayer area.

The Israeli municipality of West Jerusalem today demolished a Palestinian-owned house in Beit Hanina neighborhood to the north of the occupied city of Jerusalem and the foundations of another house in Jabal al-Mukabber neighborhood, both under the pretext they were built without permit, according to WAFA correspondent. video
He said that the house demolished belonged to Jihad Shawamra, who was detained because he protested the demolition, and was inhabited by seven people. The family was not even allowed to remove the furniture before the demolition.
Nidal Shawamra said that the house that belonged to his uncle is about 120 square meters in area and that it was built close to where his uncle had built a house that was also previously demolished by the Israeli municipality.
Earlier, Israeli municipality staff demolished the foundations for house in Jabal al-Mukabber belonging to Ismail Qaraeen, who was said to handicapped.

In Bethlehem district, Israeli military vehicles stormed Dheisheh refugee camp, where soldiers detained a Palestinian.
In Ramallah district, Israeli forces raided Beit Ur al-Tahta village, west of Ramallah, and rounded up two Palestinians, including a former prisoner.
In the northern West Bank, PPS said a predawn military raid in Izbit al-Tayyah village, east of Tulkarm city, resulting in the detention of a Palestinian.
Another man was rounded up in a raid of Deir al-Ghusun town, north of Tulkarm city.
In Jenin district, soldiers manning a flying checkpoint near Tubas stopped and brutally assaulted a Palestinian, inflicting bruises in his head and back. The man was identified as a resident of Qabatia town.
Meanwhile, PPS said that a Palestinian was detained in the ancient city of Jericho.

According to local sources, the IOF intensively fired tear gas canisters and rubber bullets at angry youths after storming the camp, injuring two of them.
Two injured young men reportedly suffered rubber bullet injuries and were rushed to hospital for medical assistance.
The IOF also kidnaped 32-year-old Emad Abu Hammad from his home in the same camp.
According to local sources, the IOF intensively fired tear gas canisters and rubber bullets at angry youths after storming the camp, injuring two of them.
