G4S is a British-Danish private security company that provides services and equipment to Israeli prisons, checkpoints, the Apartheid Wall and the Israeli police.
In 2007, G4S signed a contract with the Israeli Prison Authority to provide security systems and other services for major Israeli prisons. G4S provides systems for the Ketziot and Megiddo prisons, which hold Palestinian political prisoners from occupied Palestinian territory inside Israel. Article 76 of the Fourth Geneva Convention prohibits the transfer of prisoners from occupied territory into the territory of the occupier.
G4S also provides equipment for Ofer prison, located in the occupied West Bank, and for Kishon and Moskobiyyeh detention facilities, at which human rights organisations have documented systematic torture and ill treatment of Palestinian prisoners. As Palestinian political prisoners begun a mass hunger strike on 17th April 2012 an action was taken to hold G4S accountable for its involvement with Israel’s unlawful detention of Palestinians.
G4S is also complicit with other aspects of Israel’s system of apartheid over the Palestinian people. G4S provides equipment and services to Israeli checkpoints in the West Bank that form part of the route of Israel’s illegal Wall and to the terminals isolating the occupied and besieged territory of Gaza. G4S has also signed contracts for equipment and services for the West Bank Israeli Police headquarters and to private businesses based in illegal Israeli settlements. A panel of legal experts concluded that G4S may be criminally liable for its activities in support of Israel’s illegal Wall and other violations of international law.
G4S has attempted to deflect the criticism it has been facing by announcing that it intends to end some aspects of its involvement in Israel’s illegal settlements by 2015. However, this response is unsatisfactory. The public announcements make no mention of the participation of G4S in the illegal detention and torture of Palestinian political prisoners inside Israel. Additionally, the announcement mentions only some aspects of the company’s involvement in Israel’s illegal settlements and pledges only to exit them at some undetermined point in the future.

The captive Abdul Majid Khaddirat, from Tubas, has continued his hunger strike, declared 13 days ago, protesting the Israeli decision to re-impose his previous sentence of 8 years, PA Ministry for Prisoners' Affairs said. Following her visit to the isolated prisoner in Megiddo prison on Sunday, the Ministry's lawyer Shirin Iraqi confirmed that Khaddirat rejected the Israeli charges and considered them fabricated lies that fell in line with the Israeli revenge policy targeting liberated prisoners.
The hunger striker, detained since August 2013, has rejected an Israeli offer to be deported to Gaza for eight years, the lawyer added.
He was isolated in Megiddo prison once he started his hunger strike although he suffers many health problems and severe pains.
Khaddirat had previously declared a hunger strike for 96 days which was suspended after reaching an agreement with the Israeli prison administration to release him after spending a year and a half in custody, but it did not live up to its promise.
In turn, the two prisoners Muammar Banat and Wahid Abu Maria have continued their open hunger strike declared 23 days ago protesting their administrative detention.
The two hunger strikers were recently isolated, while Banat's health condition was seriously deteriorated and he was transferred to Ramle Prison Hospital.
The two prisoners' families appealed to all human rights organizations to shed light on their sons' plight especially that they were arrested several times before by Israeli occupation forces.
The hunger striker Banat was arrested on the 20th of August, 2013 where he twice declared hunger strike, while Abu Maria, who spent 18 years in Israeli prisons, was arrested in October 2012 under administrative detention that was renewed four times

85 Gaza residents left the coastal enclave on Monday morning via Beit Hanoun crossing, Erz, to visit their relatives in the Israeli jails, the International Committee for the Red Cross(ICRC) announced. ICRC spokesperson Nasser al-Najjar said, 85 Gazans including 18 children will visit their detained relatives in Nafha Prison.
The Israeli occupation imposes restrictions on the detainees’ families including banning the entry of food and books to prisoners.
The Israeli Prison Services (IPS) put barriers between the prisoners and their relatives during the visit to prevent them from contacting directly.
About 5,200 Palestinian prisoners are held behind the Israeli bars, according to the Ministry of Detainees and Ex-detainees.
It is noteworthy that family visits stopped and then resumed after the prisoners had launched an open-ended hunger strike lasted for 28 days in 2012 which led to the signing of al-Karama Agreement between prisoners and the IPS under the Egyptian auspices.

Speaker of the Palestinian legislative council (PLC) Dr. Aziz Dweik on Sunday held the Israeli occupation regime and its jailers fully responsible for the lives of all detained patients in their prisons, especially prisoner Iyad Huraibat. Dweik made his remarks during his visit to the protest tent pitched outside the house of prisoner patient Iyad Huraibat in Sakka village, southwest of Dura town in Al-Khalil.
The PLC speaker hailed the steadfastness of the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails and their role in protecting the national rights and constant.
The mother of prisoner Huraibat said that her son suffers from poor health condition and is isolated in solitary confinement.
She added that she has not been able to see her son for more than three months and the jailers still refuse to let him see any member of his family.
For his part, former minister of prisoners' affairs Wasfi Qabha, who also visited the tent, said that Israel is responsible for any health complications that may happen to Huraibat or other prisoner patients in its jails.
Qabha added that prisoner Huraibat, who is jailed for life, enjoyed good health and physical fitness before he was kidnapped in September 2002, but because of the medical neglect policy pursued by Israeli jailers and the wrong medication given to him his health seriously worsened.
In a related context, human rights activists called for paying more attention to the issue of prisoner patients in Israeli jails and actively advocating their cause.
This came during a symposium held in Jenin city under the theme "The issue of prisoners is moribund."
The participants discussed and explored the mechanisms to activate the issue of the prisoner patients in Israeli jails and create a solidarity movement advocating their cause.
Activist Iman Silawi stated that the issue of the prisoner patients needs constant active support, especially by the media which should shed light on their suffering.
For her part, Sana Zakarneh, coordinator of the internet solidarity campaign, called on all segments of the Palestinian society to create new methods to support the issue of the prisoners who suffer from deliberate medical neglect in Israeli jails.
She added that the Israeli doctors in Israeli jails systematically torture the prisoners through providing them with wrong medication and misdiagnosing their conditions.

Hamas terrorist "Camel"
The israeli occupation forces in the district of Bethlehem arrested a camel yesterday under the pretext that it had entered into a “military zone”. The event took place near the Al-Rashaide village east of Bethlehem city in the occupied West Bank. Palestinian newspapers reported that Fawaz Rshaide, head of the Palestinian village council of Al- Rashaide, told reporters that the israeli soldiers had arrested a camel belonging to Musallam Younis Rshaaidhe because the camel had supposedly entered a “military zone”.
“Military zones” are arbitrarily declared by the occupation to serve as a pretext to seize by force lands owned by Palestinians. It works like this: a “military zone” is declared over an area which the zionists want to steal, what means that the owners of these lands are not allowed to go to their land (and homes). The lands in question are then “confiscated” as a punishment if the owners enter their lands which are now a “military zone”, or they are declared “abandoned” by the occupation if the owners don’t show up for some time, and then seized and turned over to European or American squatters.
Mr. Rshaide added that the israeli soldiers stole the camel, which belonged to a Palestinian, and fled the area. The Camel was taken to the military colony “Ma’ale Adumim” near Al – Eizariya in the West Bank, near occupied Jerusalem.
He explained that the Israeli soldiers arrested the owner of the camel too in order to force him to pay a fine of 2,000 shekels to have his animal released from jail. In addition, the israeli soldiers who stole the camel, “asked” it’s owner to pay 600 shekels as “extra fees” for the transportation of the camel, which they stole and brought from the Palestinian land to the zionist colony.
Al – Eizariya is identified in the Bible as Bethany and in the New Testament it is identified as the home of the siblings Mary and Martha.
Mr. Rshaide commented on this incident of theft by the jewish occupation saying: “This as a way to displace the citizens from there agricultural land east of Bethlehem. It is ethnic cleansing”.
Under the “regulations” which the israeli military laws applies to Palestinians in the occupied territories since 1967, there are no laws which legitimize arresting animals, confiscating the equipments of civilians for military purposes and taking fees and high fines before giving back stolen goods to their rightful owners.
However, the military occupation through it’s so-called “Civil Administration” does exactly this since decades. There troops “arrest” the animals of Palestinian farmers: sheep, herds of goats, cows, chickens and birds, they also “confiscate” their farming equipment under scurrilous pretexts and refuse returned to these animals or equipment to their owners without the payment large sums of money as ransom.
These illegal ransom monies collected by the occupiers is not entered into the budget of the civil administration. No one knows where the money goes, some people assume that the criminals squander these moneys for expanding settlements and making wealth.
The “Civil Administration” claims that money is paid to the so-called patrol for “surveillance and detection” of the civil administration, who one day loot the Palestinian property and next day their money.
The heads of these “monitoring units” at the “Civil Administration” is a well-known settler called David Kishik, son of former prostitute Shula Cohen who received his post as payment because his mother once long ago sold her favours in Lebanon. Mr. Kishik and his team are a bunch of criminal garbage that has made immense wealth on the back of destitute Palestinians in the occupied territories.

Undercover Israeli forces on Sunday arrested a young Palestinian man at the entrance of Beit Ummar village.
Spokesman for the popular resistance committee Mohammad Awad said that Sakhr Hisham Khalil Abu Maria, 21, was apprehended after a white car with Israeli license plate stopped beside him.
Awad said three armed people stepped out of it and forced him into the car before taking him to a military site in the Gush Etzion settlement area.
