Israeli Ofer military court sentenced on Tuesday a Palestinian girl, from al-Khalil, to prison plus a fine of 2500 shekels.
According to PIC reporter, Razan Abu Sal, 13, was sentenced to four months in prison.
Since 2000, at least 8,000 Palestinian children have been arrested and prosecuted in an Israeli military detention system notorious for the systematic ill-treatment and torture of Palestinian children.
Each year approximately 500-700 Palestinian children, some as young as 12 years, are detained and prosecuted in the Israeli military court system. The most common charge is stone throwing.

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) has reported that Israeli soldiers abducted, on Tuesday at dawn, eighteen Palestinians, including children, in several parts of the occupied West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem.
The PPS said that the soldiers conducted violent searches of many homes in occupied Jerusalem, and abducted eleven Palestinians, identified as Na’im Ibrahim ‘Ashayer, 11, Mohammad Ahmad ‘Ashayer, 14, Ali Mohammad Abu al-Hawa, 14, Mohammad Samir Abu al-Hawa, 15, Amir Sami Abu al-Hawa, 16, Adnan Mousa al-Hadra, 17, Mohammad Ali Abu Tayeh, 23, Abdul-Rahman Zahran, Khaled az-Zeer and his child Hussein.
It added that the soldiers also invaded and searched homes in Ramallah governorate, in central West Bank, and abducted Nazeeh Abdullah Hamed, 41, his brother Eyad, 39, in addition to Abdul-Jawad Zaher Jaghma, 20, and As’ad Hamayel, 23.
In Nablus, in northern West Bank, the soldiers abducted a former political prisoner, identified as Badr Hussam al-Rozza, and Mustafa Mohammad al-Masri, 28.
In Jenin, also in northern West Bank, the soldiers searched homes and abducted Khalil Sa’adi.

The Israeli prison authorities transferred on Monday a jailed Palestinian minor to the Ramla prison clinic after his health has taken a turn for the worse.
16-year-old Anas Hamarsha was taken from Megiddo jail to Ramla prison clinic after he suddenly lost his ability to stand on his feet, his family said.
The minor’s family held the Israeli occupation responsible for the health deterioration rocking their son’s body.
Anas was kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces on October 7, 2017 from his family’s home. He has been diagnosed with Perthes disease, a rare childhood condition that affects the hip. It occurs when the blood supply to the head of the femur (thighbone) is disrupted. Without an adequate blood supply, the bone cells die, a process called avascular necrosis.

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) has reported that a Palestinian detainee, held by Israeli under arbitrary Administrative Detention orders without charges or trial, in ongoing with a hunger strike, he started five days ago.
The PPS said that detainee Ayyoub Yacoub al-‘Asa, 33, from the al-Obeydiyya town Bethlehem, was moved to a solitary confinement, in Ofer Israeli prison, the day he started his strike.
It added that the detainee was abducted by the army on June 21, 2017, and received an Administrative Detention order for six months, and was then slapped with a similar order, without charges or trial.
Al-‘Asa is a married father of three, and was previously abducted and imprisoned by Israel for five years, for his support to the Islamic Jihad movement in Palestine.
It is worth mentioning that hundreds of detainees spent years under these orders, especially since Israeli claims having “secret files” against them, while neither the detainees, nor their lawyers, have access to these alleged files.

A 24-year-old Palestinian man, Ahmad Salim, was killed on Monday evening by Israeli gunfire in clashes that erupted between Palestinians and Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) in Qalqilya. Meanwhile, three others were arrested by Israeli policemen in Occupied Jerusalem.
The Palestinian Health Ministry announced the death of Salim in Jayyous town to the east of Qalqilya. He was shot in the head and moved to hospital in a very critical health condition before he died of his wounds.
Besides, Israeli policemen escorted by soldiers on Monday evening raided Shufat refugee camp in Occupied Jerusalem and showered Palestinian youths with stun grenades and tear gas canisters resulting in violent clashes. A Palestinian minor was arrested as well.
Earlier in the afternoon, two other youths were rounded up in al-Wad Street in Occupied Jerusalem. They were transferred to a detention center in the holy city.

Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) on Monday rounded up a 23-year-old Palestinian girl near al-Ibrahimi Mosque in the Old City of al-Khalil in the southern West Bank.
A local source stated that IOF soldiers who were stationed at a military barrier at the entrance to the mosque arrested the girl Ayat Qafisheh and detained her for half an hour after the claim of finding a screwdriver in her possession.
The young girl was frightened and intimidated at the hands of IOF troops before releasing her.

Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission on Monday said that the Palestinian prisoner Rizq al-Rjoub, 61, decided to suspend his open hunger strike after receiving promises from the Israel Prison Service (IPS) to end his administrative detention.
The Commission said in a statement that Rjoub, who is a resident of Doura town in al-Khalil, was arrested on 27th November 2017 and was surprised by Ofer court's offer to be deported to an Arab country.
The statement noted that Rjoub rejected the Israeli offer categorically and refused to be held in administrative detention; therefore, he waged a hunger strike as a protest step on 23rd December 2017.
Lawyer Mu'taz Shkeirat said, quoting Rjoub's family, that Rizq suspended his hunger strike after reaching an agreement with the IPS and Shin Bet to be referred to investigation and immediately released in case no charge is brought against him.

The IOF conducted large-scale raids against Palestinian shops and confiscated the recordings of their surveillance cameras. These raids fall in line with Israeli search operations for the Palestinians who carried out an anti-occupation shooting attack in which an Israeli rabbi was killed a few days ago.
Local sources told the PIC reporter that violent clashes broke out between Palestinian youths and the IOF soldiers who raided Qabatia town, south of Jenin city, adding that dozens of Palestinians were injured after being attacked with live bullets and tear gas canisters.
The IOF stormed al-Janiya village, west of Ramallah, broke into a number of houses, wreaked havoc on them and interrogated some citizens, but no arrests were reported.
During the raid, the IOF seized a private Palestinian vehicle and distributed notices threatening to wage further military measures against the residents for allegedly being involved in "acts of violence".
The IOF arrested two Palestinian youths in Tuqu' town and an ex-prisoner in al-Khader town in Bethlehem province.

All the detainees were taken to an undeclared place.

Several Palestinians were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in abduction sweeps rocking the West Bank at predawn Sunday.
The Israeli army claimed responsibility for the abduction of 15 Palestinians on allegations of involvement in anti-occupation activities.
The IOF wreaked havoc on civilian homes and aggressively beat several arrestees in the presence of their family members.
Reporting from the northern West Bank, a PIC reporter said the occupation forces kidnapped 26-year-old Islam Samar from Jenin’s western town of Yamon after they ravaged his family home.
