Israeli forces started a detention campaign early Tuesday in the neighborhoods and villages of Jerusalem.
A Ma'an reporter said that Israeli forces raided the village of Sur Bahir, town of Silwan, the al-Tur neighborhood and the old city of Jerusalem where they made several house raids and detentions.
An attorney for Addameer rights group said that 31 Palestinians from Jerusalem were detained early Tuesday and transferred to investigation centers in the city, and that the number is expected to increase during the day.

Former Palestinian hunger-striker Khader Adnan was re-arrested by Israeli forces on Monday evening, his family said.
Adnan, from Arraba village near Jenin, was detained as he was returning from Nablus.

Lieberman breaks Likud ties, clashes continue across region
Dozens of rockets fired from the Gaza Strip have struck southern Israel, today, according to the Israel army. Residents in the occupied West Bank said three rockets landed in the illegal Gush Etzion settlement near Bethlehem, as well, though no immediate reports of injury or damage have surfaced. Clashes continue across Palestine, with escalating violence by soldiers and settlers.
Meanwhile, a Code Red siren was heard in the Hof Ashkelon regional council, according to Ma'an News Agency.
Nine Palestinians, six of whom were members of Hamas' al-Qassam Brigades, were killed in Israeli air strikes, during the night.
Earlier today, Israeli warplanes struck the northern Gaza Strip, injuring a young boy, according to medics. Agricultural areas in northern Jabaliya were also hit. One four-year-old boy has sustained moderate injuries. Additionally, another two strikes hit agricultural lands in eastern Jabaliya, causing property damage. Nearby Beit Lahiya was hit with two airstrikes, with no injuries reported. In the al-Shujayyia neighborhood of Gaza City, another strike occurred, with no injuries reported.
In related news, Ma'an further reports that Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman ended his 20-month party alliance with the ruling right-wing Likud.
At a press conference, the decision was announced following a dispute between Lieberman and PM Netanyahu over the Israeli government's handling of militant rocket fire in the Gaza Strip.
Lieberman has been pushing for a full reoccupation of the territory. His political faction will remain in government, and he has renewed his call for a major ground operation in Gaza.
The al-Nasser Saladin Brigades, Popular Resistance Committee's armed wing, has vowed to respond to the recent killings in region: "The enemy should bear the consequences of its ongoing crimes and aggressions."
Violent confrontations have been taking place, over the last few days, between Palestinian youth and the Israeli Occupation Forces all over historic Palestine, PNN reports.
Clashes have erupted in many Palestinian cities and towns accross the region, mostly between youth and Israeli police, who fired tear gas, stun grenades and rubber bullets during recent protests, during which 51 Palestinians were arrested in Nazareth and Akka.
According to the Palestinian Prisoners Society, the total number arrests in the 1948 territories amounts to 110 individuals, half of which are minors.
Clashes have erupted in different neighborhoods and towns of Jerusalem, where Israeli police also responded to protests with tear gas, causing numerous cases of suffocation. Rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades and live ammunition were also used to disprse the youngsters, who were throwing stones and, occasionally, fireworks at the police, according to the PNN.

One worker, Mohammad Abu- Abed, age 42, from Yatta, was injured in his head and transferred to al-Makassed Hospital, in serious condition.

Similar clashes erupted in Nablus, as well, at the Hawara checkpoint. In Tulkarem, violent confrontations occured at the Gashory Factory, west of the city, where soldiers fired tear gas, rubber-coated bullets and live ammunition against Palestinians who threw stones at them.
Two Palestinians were transferred to the Rafedya Hospital in Nablus, with serious injuries: Samer al-Msyeai, 21, was shot in the foot with a live round and Aysar Raed Nasrallah, 17, from Tulkarem refugee camp, was shot in the pelvis, also with live ammunition.
Furthermore, in Jericho, clashes broke out at the main entrance of the city, where several Palestinians were injured with rubber bullets. In Bethlehem, hundreds of Israeli settlers raided the area of al-Ferdous, to the west of the city.
In the city's center, violent confrontations took place near to Rachel’s Tomb, where Israeli forces also fired tear gas, stun grenades, rubber and live bullets on protesters who met them with stones, small explosive devices and fireworks.
In Hebron, the PNN furhter reports that clashes erupted in the Old City and in the entrances of Beit Ummar and Yatta. Several Palestinians were injured with rubber-coated bullets and some suffered from tear gas inhalation.
One Hamad Ehmedan Salhab, age 22, was abducted by Israeli forces, after being shot the foot.

On Monday at night, Israeli soldiers kidnapped four Palestinian children in occupied East Jerusalem. A Palestinian man was also kidnapped near Bethlehem.

6,000 detained in Israeli prisons, 110 arrested in pre-1948 Palestine
In Nablus, today, Palestinian villagers in al-Bathan and al-Naqura confronted Israeli settlers as they tried to storm the two villages. 6,000 Palestinians are currently being detained in Israeli prisons, while 24 at Hawara are suffering food poisoning.
Citizens said, according to Al Ray, that settlers attacked the village of al-Bathan, this morning at dawn, and headed towards the parks area to perform rituals, but young men of the village confronted them, forcing them to leave.
Several Israeli settlers from the illeagal Shafi Shomron settlement, as well, attmepted to invade the village of al-Naqura.
Villagers released warnings of their presence, Al Ray reports, calling on citizens to walk in groups, especially before sunrise, in order to avoid settler attacks.
Confrontations also erupted last night between Israeli settlers and Palestinian citizens of Eynabus, to the south of Nablus, after the settlers stormed the village and assaulted its citizens.
According to the Alternative Information Center, in Beit Sahour, a number of Palestinians threw Molotov cocktails at Joseph's Tomb in Nablus, late Sunday, before being dispersed by Palestinian Authority security personnel.
While the site is under Israeli control, AIC reports, the Israeli army evacuated the premises in October of 2000, shortly after the start of the second intifada.
Jewish groups frequently visit the under the protection of Israeli forces, who deploy heavily in the area. Clashes with youth from the neighboring Balata refugee camp are frequently reported.

Abdul-Nasser Ferwana, Head of the Census Department at the Palestinian Ministry of Detainees, has said that the number of the Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons has risen significantly, in recent weeks, reaching 6,000 according to recent statistics.
In a statement on Monday, Ferwana pointed out that the figure is likely due of the escalation of Israeli attacks and the ongoing arrest campaigns across the West Bank and Jerusalem.
According to Al Ray's report, of the 6,000 prisoners:
477 prisoners are serving life sentences, 17 are females, more than 350 are children under the age of 18 and 370 are administrative detainees, held without charge or hope for trial.
Israeli forces have arrested 12 MPs in the latest West Bank arrest campaigns, raising the number of detained MPs to 23.

Ferwana has called on all Palestinians to cooperate and stand united in putting pressure on the international community and relevant institutions, to shoulder its responsibilities and to use all available means and potentials in obliging the Israeli state to comply with their signatory agreements under the international law.

Furthermore, according to WAFA, Palestinian Prisoners Club lawyer Annan Khadr has stated that 24 Palestinian prisoners at Israeli 'Hawara' jail were poisoned after they were given expired food by the prison administration.
Even though administration was informed of the incident, prisoners were not provided with the necessary treatment and have suffered severe abdominal pain and diarrhea for two days in a row.
'Hawara' jail is known to be one of the worst detention centers, and is described by detainees as not fit for human beings.

Hamas is demanding the release of all Palestinian prisoners re-arrested after their release in the Shalit exchange deal before returning to ceasefire, Israeli media reported Monday.
Israel's Hebrew-language Walla news website cited a high-ranking Hamas official who denied Hamas’ involvement in the recent kidnapping and killing of three Israeli teenagers weeks earlier.
The official, Walla reported, added that if Israel wanted to return to ceasefire it would have to release all these prisoners and return to a 2012 Egypt-brokered ceasefire.
A video published Sunday on YouTube, allegedly produced by Hamas, threatened Israeli “settlers” of Beersheba and urged them to depart before it was "too late."

An Israeli court extended the detention of 10 Palestinians and put another on house arrest on Monday, a lawyer said.

Medical sources in the southern West Bank city of Hebron, have reported that at least 20 Palestinians have been shot with rubber-coated metal bullets in the al-’Arroub refugee camp.
Two more Palestinians suffered various cuts and bruises, after being assaulted by Israeli soldiers, who invaded and ransacked several homes in the camp.
Also, a 52-year-old woman identified as Fayqa Mohammad al-Badawi, suffered numerous cuts and bruises to different parts of her body, after a number of soldiers punched and kicked and pushed her around.
The soldiers fired several gas bombs into her home, broke several windows, before assaulting the woman and two of her children, who were moved to the Hebron Governmental Hospital for treatment.
They also hurled smoke bombs into various homes, spraying them with waste-water after shattering the windows, and assaulted the families.
Clashes also took place in Bab az-Zaweya, in the center of Hebron city, the southern area of the city, Tareq Ben Ziad Junction, and the northern entrance of Yatta nearby town.
One Palestinian was shot by rounds of live ammunition, after the soldiers invaded Shuhada Street. The wounded has been identified as Hammad Ehmeidan, age 22.
Another Palestinian was also injured in the same area, after the soldiers shot him in the leg, and kidnapped him.
More clashes took place in Beit Ummar town, north of the city, and the soldiers fired several live rounds, rubber-coated metal bullets, gas bombs and concussion grenades.

For the fourth week in a row, the Israeli occupation authorities cancelled family visits to Gaza prisoners. Spokesperson of ICRC Nasser al-Najjar confirmed that schedule of visits is still cancelled until further notice.
