The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Monday announced that they killed a Palestinian, detained his body, and arrested two others near the border fence east of Rafah city, south of the Gaza Strip.
A spokesman for the Israeli occupation army said in a statement that a group of Palestinian youths crossed the border fence east of Rafah, armed with Molotov cocktails, and attempted to burn an abandoned Israeli military post.
The IOF tracked the youths and opened fire at them, according to the spokesman. One was killed and two others were arrested, one of whom was seriously injured.
A local source told the PIC reporter that the IOF stationed at the border fence opened fire at a group of Palestinian youths whose fate remained unknown.
The source added that the IOF soldiers advanced into eastern Rafah and kidnapped the injured youths.
Gaza's Ministry of Health announced that ambulance crews were able to save a 16-year-old Palestinian shot in the shoulder and transfer him to Yousef al-Najjar Hospital in Rafah city.
Israeli Army Kills A Palestinian, Injures Three, Then Abducts Two Of Them
Israeli soldiers killed, on Monday evening, at least one Palestinian, and injured three others, including two who were then abducted by the soldiers after being injured, and one teenager who was rushed to a Palestinian hospital in Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli news agency Haaretz reports that the four young men were trying to cross the border into Israel when the Israeli army spotted them and began shooting.
But video footage of the incident published by Quds News shows that the soldiers had invaded the Gaza Strip and were well within Palestinian territory when they grabbed the young men and dragged them across to their military base.
The disturbing footage shows the soldiers pulling one young man who is lying motionless on the ground, picking him up by arms and legs and dropping him repeatedly as they drag him across the stony ground. It is unclear whether the young man was alive or dead at the time.
Although the Israeli military claimed that the young men were “armed with fireworks”, no evidence was presented to back this claim.
The army also alleged that the soldiers “heard shots being fired at them,” but there has been no confirmation for his claim.
Only one of the wounded Palestinians, a 16 year old child, managed to escape the army’s attempt to abduct him, and was rushed to Abu Yousef Najjar Hospital, in Rafah, suffering a gunshot wound to his shoulder.
The three other Palestinians were taken by the soldiers who invaded the Palestinian lands, near the border fence, and took them away.
A Palestinian medic said the Palestinians (as confirmed by the video footage) did not cross the fence, and that he and his colleagues were only twenty meters away from the wounded Palestinians.
“We tried to provide aid to the wounded Palestinians; we were just twenty meters away from them,” the medic said, “but the soldiers threatened to shoot us, and forced us away.”
It is worth mentioning that some media outlets have reported that two of the young Palestinians were killed, while others report that one was killed.
Because the Israeli military is holding three of them, the extent of their wounds is unknown, and it is unclear whether one or two of them are dead.
The Israeli army claimed that the Palestinians were carrying cutters and flammable materials, and “were attempting to set fire to a vacant Israeli military sniper post along the border fence.
The Israeli army issued a statement holding the Hamas movement in Gaza fully responsible for “all attempts to cross the border fence and attack military installations.”
So far, the names of the Palestinians, including the deceased, remain unknown as they, except the wounded teen who was rushed to a Palestinian hospital, have been captured by the army.

The Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees has said that Palestinian female prisoners Bayan Azzam, 24, and Amal Saad, 53, have been exposed to medical neglect in Israeli jails, which is affecting their health and psychological conditions.
Lawyer for the commission Hanan al-Khatib, who recently visited these two prisoners in jail, said that Saad, from Bethlehem, suffers from severe pains in her neck and back as well as hypertension and diabetes, which she had as a result of her exposure to maltreatment at the hands of jailers, especially during her transfer to and from courts.
Saad told the lawyer that the shackles put around her legs when transferring her to and from courts with no regard to the health problems she suffers from prevent the flow of blood in her body and worsen her condition, affirming that she is not provided with proper medical treatment and the only medication she receives is painkillers.
As for prisoner Azzam, the lawyer said she suffers from burns in her face and hands which she had as she was cooking in the jail.
Prisoner Azzam complained of her exposure to ill-treatment and deliberate medical abuse by the doctor in the infirmary of the jail.
In a separate incident, the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) said that the health condition of prisoner Iyad Haribat, a 35-year-old young man from al-Khalil, declined as a result of his suffering from obvious medical neglect and repeated inter-prison transfers.
A PPS lawyer visited Haribat recently and affirmed the prisoner “has been suffering from a nervous illness since 2014 that causes him uncontrollable shivering in his body.”
In recent weeks, prisoner Haribat has become unable to move normally after he suffered a health decline in Ramon jail. He is now confined to a wheelchair, according to the lawyer.
Despite his need for proper medical treatment in a private hospital, Israeli jailers recently transferred him to Ashkelon jail and then to the infirmary of the Ramla prison.
The prisoner, who has spent 18 years of his 20-year prison term, told the lawyer that he suffers from weakness in both hands and can no longer use them to hold anything, adding that he is only given tranquilizers and hypnotics as treatment.

Palestinian prisoner Hasan Shawka, from Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank, has been on hunger strike for about 29 days in protest at his detention administratively, with no indictment or trial.
According a lawyer for the Palestinian Prisoner Society who visited recently prisoner Shawka in Ramla jail, the hunger striker suffers from severe pains in his kidneys, head and eyes as well as sheer physical exhaustion and weakness, and vomiting.
Despite his poor health condition, Shawka still refuses to take any vitamin or undergo medical tests, and only depends on drinking water.
He has also been exposed to several punitive measures by the Israeli prison service (IPS) since he decided to go on hunger strike, including solitary confinement, repeated raids on his cell, and inter-prison transfers.
The prisoner also told the lawyer that IPS officials had come to the jail and met with him in order to convince him to end his hunger strike, but he rejected their offers and insisted on continuing his strike until he obtained his freedom.
Shawka was arrested, with no reason, on August 28, 2017 and since then he has been in administrative detention.
He already went on hunger strike for 35 days, which he started on October 11, 2017, before he suspended it after Israeli jailers turned his file into a legal case and decided to release him on June 3, 2017; however, he was confined in jail as an administrative detainee again.
