Injured…assaulted and delayed treatment…Extending the arrest of the youth Mohammad Taha until Sunday

The Magistrate judge extended on Wednesday the arrest of the injured youth Ali Bilal Taha, 15, until Sunday.
Wadi Hilweh Information Center’s lawyer for minors, Mohamed Mahmoud, said that an absentia session was held for the Ali Taha, who is currently in the “Shaare Zedek” hospital after being shot near the checkpoint of Shu’fat refugee camp on Tuesday evening; the judge extended the arrest of Ali until Sunday 7/7/2019.
The lawyer explained that he was able to obtain a permit from the judge to allow the boy’s family to be with him during his treatment in the hospital after his interrogation. The lawyer filed a request to allow his family to visit him and to stay with him because they were prevented from visiting him and checking on his condition since the moment of his arrest.
Health condition
On the health condition of the detained boy, Wadi Hilweh Information Center’s lawyer, Razan Jubeh, explained that Ali Taha had two operations on his right foot to remove the bullet and put platinum and calf nerves. The second leg was stitched as it was hit with shrapnel.”
The lawyer explained that the boy, as reported during a visit to him in the hospital, was severely beaten during the detention and inside the ambulance, especially on his head and face (signs of beating were clear). H was also insulted and threatened. One policeman told him: “We will blow your other foot.
When he asked for help and was screaming from the pain of his foot, the troops deliberately beat him and cursed at him."
He was also prevented from eating and drinking water, from the moment of his first arrest until lawyer Jubeh was able to visit him, where he asked the doctors and nurses supervising his condition to provide food and drink for him.
The boy Ali Taha was shot by the Israeli occupation forces during violent clashes that broke out at the checkpoint of Shu’fat refugee camp in Jerusalem.

The Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday abducted seven Palestinian citizens in different areas in Jerusalem.

Two brothers identified as Ramzi and Luay Ja'abis, 16 and 21, were arrested in Jabal al-Mukabber neighborhood.

Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission said that prisoners Mohammed Abu Akar, Mohammed al-Hasanat and Huthaifa Halabiya on Monday started an open hunger strike in Negev desert jail against their detention without charge or trial.
Ehsan Othamn, 21, and Ja'far Izz el-Din, 48, have been on hunger strike for 17 days.
Mahmoud al-Fasfous, 29, Kayed al-Fasfous, 30, Ghadanfar Abu Atwan, 26, Abdul-Aziz Sweiti, 30, Saed Nammoura, 27, and Saed Zahran, 31, started an open hunger strike 9 days ago.

Israeli soldiers abducted, on Wednesday at dawn, at least fifteen young Palestinian men from their homes, in several parts of the occupied West Bank, and confiscated surveillance equipment.
In Bethlehem, south of occupied East Jerusalem in the West Bank, the soldiers invaded and ransacked several homes, and abducted Dia’ Abu ‘Aker, from ‘Aida refugee camp, north of the city.
In Hebron, in southern West Bank, the soldiers invaded and searched many homes, in addition to several shops, in Yatta town, south of the city, in addition to the nearby ar-Reehiyya village.
The soldiers were also heavily deployed in several neighborhoods in Hebron city, especially in the al-Hawouz area.
In Qabatia town, south of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, the soldiers abducted Ahmad Eshteyya Zakarna from his home.
In Tulkarem, in northern West Bank, the soldiers abducted Ahmad Jihad al-Hamshari, 37, from his home in Thannaba area, east of the city.
Furthermore, the soldiers invaded Abu Dis town, east of Jerusalem, searched homes and abducted Soheib Jaffal, Bassel Affana and Mohammad Ibrahim Erekat.
In Shu’fat, northeast of Jerusalem, the soldiers abducted Anan Nasser Abu Khdeir, Saif al-Asmar, Ibrahim Abu Nea’, Mahmoud Adeeb Haddad and Anan Nasser Abu Khader.
In Jifna village, north of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, the soldiers abducted a former political prisoner, identified as Ahmad Adnan al-Kanesh, after invading his home and searching it.
The soldiers also invaded Batn al-Hawa neighborhood, and at-Tira, in Ramallah, and searched several homes.
It is worth mentioning that the Israeli army said its soldiers arrested fifteen Palestinians, in several parts of the West Bank, and took them to a few detention and interrogation facilities.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Tuesday arrested 34 Palestinian citizens during home raids in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
Local sources reported that most of the detainees are active in Hamas's student movement the Islamic Bloc in Birzeit University.
The IOF further seized the students' laptops and mobile phones, they added.
Violent clashes broke out during the campaigns that targeted Qalqilya and al-Khalil. The IOF heavily fired stun grenades and tear gas canisters at the Palestinian residents, according to the PIC reporters.
On Monday evening the Israeli police rounded up 12 Palestinian youths in al-Isawiya town in Jerusalem.
Residents of al-Isawiya and Jabal al-Mukabber areas said that the Israeli police late at night stormed their neighborhoods and clashed with angry youths.
The police randomly fired rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades and tear gas canisters, while the youths responded by throwing stones and empty bottles.

In a statement, the Commission said that 50 prisoners were taken from their cells to other jails as a mass punitive measure against them.
The prisoners in Ashkelon jail suspended an open-ender hunger strike several hours after they announced it in mid-June following Israeli pledges to respond to their demands.
The prisoners demanded jailers at the time to provide them with a kitchen, end financial punitive measures, follow up the medical conditions of many sick inmates and bring back their representative Naser Abu Humaid from Nafha jail to Ashkelon.
The Ashkelon prisoners have been exposed to repressive measures by Israeli jailers since last April.

Local media activist Mohamed Awad said that settlers verbally and physically assaulted Palestinian citizens in Wadi ash-Sheikh area of Beit Ummar town.
Awad added that the Israeli occupation forces stormed the same area later and kidnapped 27-year-old Mamdouh al-Allami after ransacking his home.
The young man was taken to the Etzion military base in the north of al-Khalil.

They added that the IOF violently broke into the house of the Palestinian prisoner Tawfiq Rabay'a, searched the house, and interrogated the family for hours.
