Israeli soldiers invaded, on Tuesday evening, Section 3 of the Nafha Israeli Prison, in the Negev Desert, wounding at least three detainees, and moved dozens into solitary confinement.
The Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) said the soldiers invaded section three, where at least 120 Palestinian detainees are held, and used excessive force in removing them out of their rooms, while beating them with batons.
The soldiers also hurled several gas bombs into the rooms, to force the detainees out, leading two scuffles between the heavily armored soldiers, and the detainees.
Three detainees suffered various cuts and bruises; one of them has been identified as Mahmoud ad-Dahnoun, while many others suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation.
Nafha has been witnessing increasing tension, especially after the Prison Authority transferred many detainees into different parts of the facility, and two days ago, the soldiers turned Section 12 into solitary blocks.

The Israeli Occupation Authorities (IOA) renewed the administrative detention of the prisoner Ismail Tamezi, from al-Khalil, for the third consecutive time.
Palestinian media sources affirmed Wednesday that the IOA renewed Tamezi’s administrative detention for four months after spending ten months in administrative detention.
Tamezi had earlier spent more than seven years behind Israeli bars in separate arrests. Along the same line, Israeli Supreme Court refused an appeal submitted by the prisoner Kayed Abu Rish to end his 6-month administrative detention.
Abu Rish had spent nearly 16 years in Israeli jails. He was earlier on a hunger strike against Israeli administrative detention policy.
More than 7,000 Palestinians are currently held in Israeli jails including hundreds of administrative detainees. Administrative detention is a procedure that allows the IOA to hold prisoners indefinitely on secret information without charging them or allowing them to stand trial.

Palestinian detainees in Israeli jails voiced their firm rebuff of a decision by the International Red Cross to limit monthly prison visits to one only.
Palestinian detainees in Israeli jails said in a statement published by the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) that the national prisoners movement rejects the decision taken by the Red Cross, describing it as a serious infringement on the prisoners’ rights.
According to the statement, the decision falls in line with the policies of mistreatment pursued by the Israeli occupation authorities against Palestinian detainees and the restrictions imposed on their families during prison-visits.
The prisoners slammed the Red Cross for giving up its allotted missions as regards the Palestinian prisoners and their families, saying the arguments put forth by the organization rather knocks over its credibility as an international humanitarian body for they are neither credible nor serious.
The statement called on the Red Cross to backtrack on such an arbitrary decision and seek legal means to improve prison-visits for Palestinian detainees.

Israeli naval forces detained Wednesday morning ten Palestinian fishermen while fishing off the coast of Gaza Strip.
Nizar Ayyash, head of Gaza's Palestinian Fishermen Union, told Quds Press that a number of Israeli gunboats surrounded this morning four Palestinian fishing boats before commandeering them to Israel’s Ashdod port.
Ten fishermen, who were on the confiscated boats, were arrested during the attack, Ayyash added. Ayyash affirmed that the fishermen were sailing within the six-nautical-mile fishing zone imposed as part of Israel’s naval blockade.
On Tuesday night, an Israeli airstrike hit an agricultural area in Juhr Addik village in the southern Gaza Strip. No casualties were reported.
The Israeli army regularly open fire on Palestinian fisherman and farmers at sea and along the border areas, despite a ceasefire agreement that ended the Israeli 2014 war on the enclave.

A number of Palestinian civilians were injured and others were arrested by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in an abduction sweep launched across the West Bank at dawn Wednesday.
The Israeli occupation army claimed responsibility for the abduction of 12 allegedly wanted Palestinians at the crack of dawn, 11 among whom arrested on allegations of anti-occupation activism.
The campaign targeted the West Bank provinces of Nablus, Qalqilya, Ramallah, and Bethlehem. A Palestinian citizen choked on teargas in Qlaqilya during clashes with the IOF in al-Nakar neighborhood.
According to a PIC news correspondent, heavily-armed IOF patrols rolled into the area at predawn time and attacked the Palestinians with heavy spates of teargas canisters and stun grenades, resulting in several suffocation cases.
The IOF soldiers wreaked havoc on civilian homes before they kidnapped four Palestinians, including the lecturer at the Islamic University Bilal Hanun. Nablus-based sources also said the Palestinian youth Saleh Abu al-Anad sustained injuries in the Balata refugee camp after he was hit by an Israeli patrol jeep.
Red Crescent crews who treated the casualty identified the inflicted stomach wounds as critical.
The injured youth was later evacuated to the Rafidia hospital for urgent treatment. The IOF kidnapped another youth from the Askar refugee camp shortly after they stormed the area and ravaged civilian homes. Youngster Younes Kuni was also kidnapped from his family home in Kfar Kalil village, to the south Nablus.
The campaign culminated in the abduction of four Palestinians from the southern West Bank province of al-Khalil.
A 12-year-old Palestinian child sustained injuries in his face shortly after the IOF raided Yatta town and showered the area with rubber bullets.
The occupation soldiers in 30 army jeeps further rolled into al-Hila neighborhood, in Yatta, and broke into the home of prisoner Khaled Muhammad Mussa Mukhamreh, who carried out a shooting attack in Tel Aviv on June 8.
The IOF notified the projected demolition of the Mukhamreh family home on June 20.
The IOF soldiers have been cordoning off Yatta town for over a week’s time as part of a policy of collective punishment against Palestinian anti-occupation youths and their families. Four more Palestinians were kidnapped by the IOF following assaults on Ramallah and Bethlehem provinces.

The Israeli military prosecutor on Tuesday demanded the imposition of three life sentences plus 70 years on the Palestinian youth Bilal Abu Ghanem for alleged involvement in a shooting attack in Occupied Jerusalem.
The Jerusalem District Court indicted Bilal Abu Ghanem of three counts of murder and seven counts of attempted murder, as well as aiding the enemy at time of war.
Abu Ghanem, 21, of the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Jabal Al-Mukbir, was one of two youths who carried out an attack that killed three Israelis on a Jerusalem bus in October last year in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Armon HaNatziv. Seven others were wounded in a combined shooting and stabbing attack.
The other activist, Bahaa Alyan, was killed by Israeli police right on the spot. Alyan's body has still not been returned to the family for burial. Abu Ghanem’s lawyer said his client refused to let him speak on his behalf at court. The sentence is to be issued during another hearing scheduled for July 11.
Meanwhile, 18-year-old Omar Jundub was also indicted of stabbing an Israeli soldier and lightly wounding him in Tel Aviv a couple of weeks ago. The indictment included charges of attempted murder and illegal presence in 1948 Occupied Palestine.
According to Israeli news outlets, Jundub entered 1948 Occupied Palestine without a permit and worked at a construction site before he carried out the stabbing two weeks later.
Both attacks were carried out within the Jerusalem Intifada that broke out in early October last year against Israeli military and settlers’ escalated violations against the Palestinian people and their holy shrines especially the Aqsa Mosque.

The Israeli Occupation Authority (IOA) issued an administrative detention order against Palestinian prisoner Bilal al-Bourini, from Asirah Ashamaliya town near Nablus city.
The order was issued just a few hours prior to his release after serving 15 years of imprisonment.
Captive Bourini was arrested in 2001 for affiliation with Abu Ali Brigades, the armed wing of the PFLP Movement.
Local sources told the PIC reporter that detainee Bourini spent the past eight months in solitary confinement. His father passed away while he was in jail eighteen months ago, the sources pointed out.
In a statement, the PFLP opined that the administrative detention order against Bourini is a crime within the Israeli policy of targeting the PFLP leaders and prisoners.
The PFLP Movement called on the international institutions as well as the international Red Cross to shoulder their responsibilities and push for cancelling the decision.

The Israeli Prison Society (IPS) in Ofer prison isolated the Palestinian prisoner Nassar Nasr after he declared a hunger strike in protest against his administrative detention.
Family sources affirmed that Nassar, 22, launched his hunger strike four days ago after an Israeli court refused his appeal and sentenced him to six months in administrative detention.
Nassar, from Dura town in al-Khalil, was arrested three months ago without charge or trial, the sources added. Solitary confinement and isolation are both measures imposed during a prisoner’s detention or prison sentence.
Solitary confinement is used by Israel as an alleged disciplinary measure and is also common practice during interrogation, typically employed immediately following arrest.
Solitary confinement combined with a monetary fine is the most common punishment taken against Palestinians held in Israeli prisons. Detainees and prisoners held in solitary confinement are completely cut off from the world. They are held in an empty cell containing only a mattress and a blanket.
Other than their clothes, they are not allowed to take anything with them into solitary confinement, including reading materials, a television or radio set. The detainee or prisoner is held in his/her solitary confinement cell, which does not contain a toilet, 24 hours a day.
When the detainee or prisoner wishes to use the toilet he or she must call out for a guard and wait until one agrees to take the prisoner out.

The Israeli court of Salem military base on Sunday sentenced a female detainee from Jalamah town north of Jenin to five years in prison on allegations of her intention to carry out an attack against soldiers.
Local sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that prisoner Yasmin Shaaban, 33, received a harsh prison sentence that angered her family, especially since she is a mother of four children.
The sources expressed doubts that Shaaban might have been exposed to pressure during her interrogation by Israeli officers to force her to make certain confessions.
Shaaban was kidnapped from her home on November 3, 2014 and forcibly taken away from her children, who still suffer from traumas as a result of what happened to their mother.
The prisoner suffers from different health problems and does not receive medical care in jail, according to her family. Her family has appealed several times to human rights groups to work on having her released from Israeli jails.

The Israeli occupation army last night notified the families of the two Palestinian young men who carried out the recent Tel Aviv operation of its intention to demolish their homes in Yatta town, south of al-Khalil city.
Rateb al-Jabour, coordinator of the popular committee against the wall and settlement, said that the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) tightened the blockade last night on the town and carried out widespread raids on homes and arrests.
Jabour added that the IOF verbally ordered the families of the two cousins, Mohamed and Khaled Makhamreh, to evacuate their homes as a prelude to demolishing them.
However, he did not state when the demolitions would be carried out. The Israeli army has slapped a tight siege on Yatta town in al-Khalil following the Tel Aviv shooting attack, which was carried out last Wednesday by the two cousins.
During the last few days, the army went on the rampage through the town, causing damage to property and making arbitrary arrests against citizens.

Over 100 Israeli fanatic settlers stormed on early Sunday morning the holy al-Aqsa Mosque via the Maghareba Gate under heavy police escort.
Tension has flared up at the holy al-Aqsa Mosque following the break-in. Muslim learners and worshipers kept chanting “Allah is the Greatest” in protest at the assault. Israeli police troops escorted the Israeli fanatics all the way through the break-in.
The assault comes at a time when Israel’s alleged temple mount organizations launched calls for mass break-ins at al-Aqsa on Sunday and Monday to mark the Shavuot holiday.
In a related development, the Israeli police arrested the member of al-Aqsa reconstruction staff, Muhammad al-Ruweidi, and another unidentified Palestinian youth on charges of protesting the break-ins.
Muslim women have also maintained vigil outside al-Aqsa and recited holy Koran in protest at being banned from entering the Mosque to perform their prayers.

The family of the Palestinian sick captive Bassam al-Sayeh appealed to the human rights and humanitarian institutions to urgently take action and put pressure on Israeli authorities in order to get the approval for conducting an urgent surgery on him.
Prisoners’ Voice radio quoted the wife of prisoner Sayeh, 43 from Nablus, as appealing for saving his life by implanting a pacemaker. She underlined that he suffers from bone cancer and leukemia in addition to chronic infection in the lungs, osteoporosis and atrophy of the heart muscle.
Mrs. Sayeh said that her husband is struggling with death in light of the Israeli policy of deliberate medical negligence. He is not able to move, walk or speak and his life is at real risk, she said.
Captive Sayeh was arrested on October, 08, 2015 while attending the trial of his wife, Muna Abu Baker. He has been held in custody since then. He had previously served several years in Israeli jails. Besides, his brother, Amjad, has been imprisoned since 2002 and is serving a 20-year sentence.
