Israeli police on Tuesday kidnapped a Palestinian mother and her baby near Bab Hitta area in Jerusalem City.
Local sources said that the Israeli police arrested a Palestinian mother who was present with her five-month-old baby at Bab Hitta in Jerusalem.
Meanwhile, Israeli police forces stormed the villages of al-Sawahira ash-Sharqiya and Abu Dis in Jerusalem and searched homes and shops.

Two Palestinian prisoners have been in solitary confinement in Israeli jails for over 100 days, according to a Palestinian rights group.
According to the Palestinian Prisoner Society, those prisoners are Mohamed Kharwat, isolated in Ayalon jail, and Hatem al-Qawasmeh, isolated in Gilboa jail.
Prisoner Kharwat has been serving four life prison terms since 2002 and prisoner Qawasmeh has been serving similar life jail terms since 2003.
Both of them are being deprived of receiving any visits from relatives or lawyers.
According to the Palestinian Prisoner Society, those prisoners are Mohamed Kharwat, isolated in Ayalon jail, and Hatem al-Qawasmeh, isolated in Gilboa jail.
Prisoner Kharwat has been serving four life prison terms since 2002 and prisoner Qawasmeh has been serving similar life jail terms since 2003.
Both of them are being deprived of receiving any visits from relatives or lawyers.

Israeli forces detained today 17 Palestinians from several areas in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, including a woman and a 60-year-old man, according to a statement issued by the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS).
It said Israeli forces detained 10 people from both al-Issawiya and Silwan neighborhoods in occupied East Jerusalem, including a woman identified as Ibtisam Sharaf from Silwan.
In the West Bank, soldiers detained a 60-year-old man from Jericho identified as Salim Shawwa, two Palestinians from Bethlehem, one of them 18 years of age and the other 41, one from Ramallah-area village of Kobar, and three from Qalandia refugee camp.

According to local sources, the court ordered the release of Mansour Abu Gharbiya and his three young sons on condition that each one pay a penalty of 1,000 shekels and be under house arrest until June 29.

Israeli forces today rounded up 17 Palestinians from various parts of the West Bank, said the Palestine Prisoner’s Society (PPS).
It said in a press release that Israeli forces detained six Palestinians from Ramallah and al-Bireh district. video
Three of the six detainees were identified as residents of Jalazone refugee camp, two others as residents of Kobar village and another as a resident of Abu Shkheidim village, northwest of Ramallah. video

In Tulkarm district, soldiers carried out separate raids into Anabta and Zeita towns, east and northeast of Tulkarm city respectively, resulting in the detention of two people, one from each town.

Israeli police on Sunday afternoon arrested a guard of al-Aqsa Mosque and five women at Bab al-Rahma prayer area in Jerusalem.
Local sources said that the Israeli police arrested al-Aqsa Mosque’s guard Abed al-Karim Qa’oud and transferred him to a nearby detention center for interrogation.
Five Palestinian women identified as Shefaa Abu Ghalia, Aya Abu Nab, Aya Ma’touq, Maram al-Natsha, and Mayar al-Natsha were also assaulted and arrested at the site. video
Earlier in the day, Israeli police forces escorted dozens of Jewish settlers into al-Aqsa Mosque where they performed provocative rituals while restrictions were tightened on Muslim worshipers entering the site.

Palestinians living under the Israeli military occupation have been accustomed to Israeli soldiers storming their homes in middle of the night and while everyone is asleep.

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS), reported that Israeli forces detained fourteen Palestinians across the West Bank, on Saturday night and Sunday morning, nine of whom were abducted by Israeli police from Al-‘Isawiya town in East Jerusalem.
The nine abductees were identified as Hassan Yasser Darwish, 14, Muhammad Murad Dari, Omar Marwan Obaid, Muhammad Naseem Obaid, Mahmoud Muhammad Obaid, Mahmoud Marwan Odeh, Ahmed Iyad Odeh, Mahmoud Abd Mahmoud, and Muhammad Samih Alyan.
From Beit Ummar town in Hebron, occupation soldiers arrested Muhammad Yusef Bahr, 26, a former prisoner, a wounded child, Amr Sabarna, 17, and from Yatta town in Hebron, Iyad Diab Abu Qubita.
From the Ramallah and Al-Bireh governorate, Israeli troops arrested Raafat Salim Abu Rabee, 45, and Salim Idris Hamdan, 32, from Al-Mazraa Al-Gharbiyyah and Dura Al-Qara villages.
The PPS added that Israeli forces arrested at least ten other Palestinian civilians from several governorates in the West Bank over the past two days.
Palestinian WAFA News Agency reported that soldiers ransacked several of the civilian homes they invaded, in search of wanted Palestinians, and that two additional Palestinians were summoned by Israeli police, to appear for interrogation.

Palestinian detainees Fadwa Hamada and Jihan Hsheima have been placed in solitary confinement for confronting an Israeli guard who violently assaulted one of the prisoners.

Fadwa Hamada was arrested in 2017 and sentenced to 10 years in jail, while Jihan Hsheima was arrested in 2016 and sentenced to four years. Hsheima is still suffering from a bullet injury she sustained during her arrest.
Israel holds about 40 Palestinian girls and women in its jails under inhumane conditions, the longest-serving of whom is Amal Taqatqa who has been detained since 2014.
Shatila Abu Eiada and Shorouq Dweikat are serving the highest prison term, which is 16 years.
Over the years, Israeli occupation authorities have arrested over 16,000 Palestinian women. During he Frist Intifada alone, about 3,000 were arrested.
