Hordes of Israeli settlers on Monday stormed al-Aqsa Mosque while escorted by the Israeli police and special forces.
Local sources reported that 35 settlers defiled al-Aqsa Mosque in the early morning hours and performed Talmudic rituals near Bab al-Rahma prayer area before they left the site hours later.
The sources said that 43 Jewish students from religious institutes stormed the holy site during the same period.
The Islamic Awqaf announced in a statement that the Israeli police earlier in the day arrested a Palestinian old man for praying in Bab al-Rahma area and transferred him to a nearby interrogation center.
Other groups of settlers are set to come for a second break-in following noon prayer.
The Israeli settlers carry out mass break-ins into al-Aqsa Mosque on a daily basis, except on Fridays and Saturdays, in two rounds: in the morning and afternoon.

The Palestinian Prisoner Center for Studies affirmed that the two prisoners who stabbed an officer and a jailer in the Negev jail on Sunday evening suffered serious injuries after they were directly shot.
According to the Center, the prisoners are 37-year-old Islam Weshahi, from al-Shuhada village in Jenin, and 30-year-old Uday Salem, from ash-Shawawrah village in Bethlehem.
Both of them are undergoing surgeries and treatment at Soroka Hospital in Beersheba.
The Center said that Weshahi and Salem had to stab the jailers to defend themselves and their fellow prisoners after they were assaulted, provoked and insulted.

The PPS stated that the soldiers invaded and ransacked dozens of homes in Ramallah governorate, in central West Bank, and abducted six Palestinians, identified as Mohammad Sami Nakhla, Mohammad Eyad Dweik, Samed Nabil Abda, Ala Hasan Mohammad, Tareq Akram Hamed, and Qussai Salem.
In Bethlehem, south of occupied Jerusalem, the soldiers abducted Moath Abu Hamdi, 22, Tha’er Saber Deeriyya, 22, and Ali Shaher Taqatqa.

In addition, the soldiers invaded Qalqilia city, stormed and ransacked the home of a political prisoner, identified as Raed Ahmad al-Hotari, before illegally confiscating his wife’s car in addition to 2000 Shekels.
It is worth mentioning that al-Hotari, 47, was taken prisoner on March 23rd, 2003, and was sentenced to life in prison.
In related news, the soldiers invaded Tayasir village, east of Tubas in northeastern West Bank, and ordered a Palestinian, identified as Mohammad Yousef Dibik, to halt the construction of a small water reservoir on his own property.

The Maan News Agency has reported that the detainees are held in Sections 3, 5 and 7 of the detention camp, and quoted Israeli media outlets claiming that two soldiers were stabbed, including one who sustained serious wound to his neck.
The tension started after dozens of Israeli special forces soldiers invaded the detainees’ rooms and tents, and started assaulting them while conducting very violent searches.
Several detainees were injured before a few detainees, believed to be members of Hamas, stabbed two soldiers.
The army then started firing dozens of gas bombs, before assaulting and wounding dozens of detainees.
Israeli sources claimed that the soldiers were injured when the prison administration moved all detainees, who are believed to be members or supporters of Hamas, to another section.
The Detainees’ Media Center said the Israeli army turned the prison into what seems to be a battle ground.
It added that the Negev Detention Camp has been witnessing serious Israeli violations and escalation, since last month, when the army installed devices to scramble TV and Radio signals.
There are at least 1300 Palestinian detainees held in the Negev Detention Camp, which was first opened in 1988 after the First Palestinian Intifada started less than a year earlier.
The prison camp was closed after Oslo peace agreement, but Israel reopened it in 2002, after the army conducted its massive invasions across the West Bank; it is located northwest of the Negev Desert, close to the Egyptian border.

The detainees have been protesting the installation of signal jammers around many sections of the prison, in addition to their dire living conditions.
The assaults took place shortly after the soldiers attacked detainees held in Sections 3, 5 and 7 of the detention camp.
The Negev Detention Camp has been witnessing serious Israeli violations and escalation, since last month, when the army installed devices to scramble TV and Radio signals.
In addition, the Palestinian Detainees’ Committee has reported that the soldiers also attacked dozens of detainees in the prisons of Galboa’, Ramon, Nafha and Eshil, and assaulted them with clubs and batons.
It stated that the Israeli escalation against the detainees is a war crime and is part of an ongoing illegal policy that violates International Law and basic human rights agreement.
The Committee called on the international community to intervene and stop their serious violations, and escalation, adding that the violations constitute organized crimes and acts of terrorism against defenseless prisoners.
It also called on various international human rights and legal groups to investigate the escalating violations, and to ensure an end to these crimes against the detainees.

Two Palestinian prisoners entered their 34th year of Israeli imprisonment, on Sunday, and are among 26 prisoners who were supposed to be released after the signing of the Oslo Accords in 1993.
Palestine Prisoner’s Society (PPS) confirmed that Rashdi Hamdan Abu Mokh and Ibrahim Nayef Abu Mokk, both residents from Baqa al-Gharbiyye, in Haifa district, in northern Israel, were detained 1968 and sentenced to life in prison.
Rashdi and Ibrahim are among 12 other Palestinian prisoners from inside Israel still held in prison for over three decades.
Both of the prisoners were among 26 others, who were supposed to be released after the signing of the Oslo Accords between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) in 1993 and then again in 2014, however, Israel stalled negotiations and kept them in prison.
According to prisoners rights group Addameer, there are 5,440 Palestinian prisoners being held in Israeli prisons.

Local sources confirmed that Israeli forces held Palestinian medical doctor, Suzan al-Sulaima, for over an hour near an Israeli military checkpoint in Hebron’s Old City and detained her afterwards.
Sources added that al-Sulaima was taken to an unknown location.
The reason for her detention remained unknown.
Tel Rumeida is located within the area of the city designated as H2, an area taking over the bulk of Hebron's Old City that is under full Israeli military control, and the site of five illegal Israeli settlements which continually expand into surrounding Palestinian neighborhoods.
Palestinian residents of the Old City face a large Israeli military presence on a daily basis, with at least 20 checkpoints set up at the entrances of many streets, as well as the entrance of the Ibrahimi Mosque itself.

The PPS stated that the soldiers stormed and violently searched dozens of homes across the West Bank and interrogated many Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards.
The soldiers also invaded and searched several barns, and shops, in communities surrounding Hebron city, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank, especially in Yatta town, south of Hebron.
In addition, the soldiers installed many roadblocks across the West Bank, especially around Hebron city, before stopping and searching dozens of cars, and interrogated scores of residents while interrogating them and inspecting their ID cards.

- Saddam Ahmad Sheikh, Marah Rabah – Bethlehem.
- Amir Nasser al-Asmar, al-‘Ezariyya – Jerusalem.
- Qassam Khatib, Ramallah.

A group of illegal Israeli colonialist settlers attacked, on Saturday evening, a Palestinian woman and her son near their home in Tal Romedia neighborhood in Hebron city, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian News &Info Agency (WAFA) has reported.
WAFA stated that the Israeli assailants, who live in an illegal outpost in the neighborhood, attacked the woman and her son, from Qa’war family, near their own home, and shouted insults at them. video
Tal Romeida is located west of the Ibrahimi Mosque and overlooks Hebron city center; it is subject to constant assaults and violations by the illegal colonists and the soldiers.

Israeli forces detained a Palestinian youth while at the Qalandiya checkpoint between Jerusalem and Ramallah in the central occupied West Bank, overnight.
Locals reported that Israeli forces detained Wajdi Thaer Awwad from the al-Mughayyir village while passing the Qalandiya checkpoint.
Meanwhile, clashes erupted after Israeli forces raided the Azzun town in eastern Qalqiliya in the northern West Bank.
Several locals suffered tear-gas inhalation.
Israeli soldiers also raided the Muthalath al-Shuhada village in the northern West Bank city of Jenin; clashes erupted in the village between locals and Israeli forces.
Israeli forces fired tear-gas bombs during clashes; no injuries were reported.
