Israeli troops reportedly abducted, late on Wednesday night and early on Thursday at dawn, eight Palestinians, across the occupied West Bank.
The Ramallah-based Palestinian Prisoners’ Society said in a statement that Israeli troops invaded both Ya’bad and Qabatia villages of Jenin district and abducted Nour Bashar Abu Bakr, a former prisoner and his brother Baraa, along with Mahmoud Turkman, Mahmoud Abu al-Rub, Abdelsalam Elnabeeh Abu al-Rub.
The statement added that Israeli troops abducted Farid Alterawi from the Jallazoun refugee camp and Sameeh Elian from the al-‘Isawiya neighborhood from the internationally-recognized occupied Arab East Jerusalem, as well as Omar Abdel-Mahdi from the southern West Bank city of Hebron.
Noteworthy, Israeli troops’ abduction operations have reportedly been stepped up recently, amidst Palestinian expectations that Israel will further embark on widespread abductions, across the occupied West Bank, ahead of the planned annexation of the region, predicted by July of this summer.

In Ramallah, the IOF kidnaped 28-year-old Omar Abu Alya, a resident of al-Mughayyir village, at a military checkpoint at the eastern entrance to the village.
Last Monday, two citizens from the family of Abu Alya suffered bullet injuries when armed Jewish settlers and soldiers assaulted them as they were working their agricultural land near the illegal settlement of Amihai.

The Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) said that the health condition of prisoner Kamal Abu Waer, who suffers from a cancerous tumor in his throat, has deteriorated further.
In a statement on Wednesday, PPS warned of the gravity of Abu Waer health condition, holding the Israeli occupation authority fully responsible for his life and the lives of 700 patients in its jails, including 10 suffering from different types of cancer.
According to PPS, prisoner Abu Waer had already had 50 radiotherapy sessions and new recent tests he underwent proved that the tumor increased in size.
The prisoner also started to lose a lot of weight and became unable to verbally communicate with his fellow prisoners.
Despite his health suffering, he is still exposed to maltreatment at the hands of Israeli jailers, who insist on chaining him during treatment and transporting him aboard a prison vehicle instead of an ambulance when, for instance, transferring him to a medical facility.
Prisoner Waer, 46, has been in jail since 2003, serving six life terms. He is being held in Gilboa prison.

Israeli troops reportedly abducted, on Wednesday morning, several Palestinian residents from the internationally-recognized occupied East Jerusalem and across the rest of the occupied West Bank.
In the northern West Bank city of Tulkarem, local sources reported that soldiers abducted Abdelraheem Sabbah, 28 and Ra’ed Ammar, 20, after having stormed their homes, located in the Qaffin village, north of the Tulkarem.
In the meantime, other Israeli troops broke into the Edwan family home and abducted Hassan Edwan.
In the central West Bank city of Ramallah, Israeli forces abducted three Palestinian youths, after having invaded a number of neighborhoods in the city.
Among those abducted was a wounded person, who was previously shot and wounded by Israeli troops, identified as Mahmoud Al-Khawaja, a resident of the western Ramallah village of Ni’lin. Local sources confirmed that Al-Khawaja was taken to an unknown destination east of Ni’lin.
Sources further noted that Al-Khawaja was shot and wounded by Israeli troops, a couple of months ago, when soldiers shot and killed Al-Khawaja’s cousin, Sufian, at the entrance of Ni’lin village.
It is important to note, Israeli authorities continue to hold the body of the slain Sufian, as is standard practice for Israeli occupation authorities.
In another similar event, a special Israeli army unit was reported to have stormed the home of Nour Eldin Al-Barghouthi, 26, in the Beit Reema village, northwest of Ramallah city.
Witnesses told media outlets that the special force stormed the village with a civil vehicle. They added that right after they stormed Al-Barghouthi’s home, they abducted Nour Eldin and took him to an unknown destination, towards the western part of the city.
In the Abu Shkhaidem village, north of Ramallah city, Israeli troops stormed the Abu Saleem family home and abducted a youth, Mahmoud Abu Saleem.
Concurrently, Israeli troops invaded the Kefel Hares village, on the outskirts of the West Bank district of Salfit, however soldiers fired tear-gas canisters during the invasion, with no casualties or abductions reported.
Meanwhile, Israeli troops abducted, late on Tuesday night, a former prisoner from Ateel village, at the entrance of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia, identified as Mos’ab Eqtaish, 25.
In another similar abduction, Israeli troops abducted Palestinian resident of Tulkarem city, Fahd Yehya, 20, at a military checkpoint, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus.
Israeli military abductions of Palestinian civilians throughout the West Bank, go unabated, having increased recently, as the Israeli occupation state plans to annex the West Bank, subjecting it to full Israeli sovereignty, by July of this summer.

According to local sources in the West Bank, the IOF kidnaped 25-year-old Musab Aqteesh, a resident of Tulkarem, at a makeshift checkpoint at an entrance to Qalqilya city.
Another young man from Tulkarem called Fahd Yehya, 20, was taken prisoner at the Za’atara military checkpoint in southern Nablus.
Earlier, Israeli police forces stormed Issawiya district in east Jerusalem and kidnaped five young men after ransacking their homes.

Israel’s Salem military court on Monday extended the detention of 17-year-old Qasem Abu Bakr, from Ya’bad town in Jenin, for the seventh consecutive time.
The kid’s mother said the Israeli occupation authority extended the detention of her son for two weeks.
She added that Abu Bakr, which was arrested on April 17, was transferred from al-Jalamah interrogation center to Megiddo jail.
The same court also extended the detention of another erprison called Ahmed Abu Bakr, from Ya’bad town, for the third time running. He has been in the Petah Tikva interrogation facility for about 25 months.
The kid’s mother said the Israeli occupation authority extended the detention of her son for two weeks.
She added that Abu Bakr, which was arrested on April 17, was transferred from al-Jalamah interrogation center to Megiddo jail.

Israeli police banned today Aqsa Mosque guard Hamza Nimr from entering al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem for six months, according to local sources.
Israeli authorities summoned Nimr for interrogation and handed him an order banning him from entering the mosque after he opposed the entry of an Israeli police officer into Dome of the Rock, the golden dome mosque within al-Haram al-Sharif (the noble sanctuary) compound that also includes Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem’s Old City.
Jordan is in charge of Al Aqsa Mosque compound and Jerusalem Waqf and its staff are considered Jordanian government employees.
