Israeli soldiers detained, Sunday, the wife of detainee Maher al-Hashlamoun, 30, who is currently held at the Etzion military base, near Bethlehem, and released her later on.
The Hebron Office of the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) said the soldiers held Bahiyya an-Natsha, the wife of Maher al-Hashlamoun, from seven in the morning and until 7:30 on the evening.
The soldiers did not state why they were detaining the woman, and just kept her held for more than twelve hours without any legal justification.
The PPS added that al-Hashlamoun, from the southern West Bank city of Hebron, was shot and wounded on November 10, near the Gush Etzion Junction, and has been held since then.

The Israeli police kidnapped, on Sunday evening, two young Palestinian men during what the police claimed “a search for a person who stabbed a man in occupied East Jerusalem."
Palestinian sources said the police kidnapped a Palestinian near the Sahera Gate, while the second Palestinian has been kidnapped another in a bus, in East Jerusalem.
Dozens of soldiers and police officers have been deployed in different parts of the city, especially in Bab al-‘Amoud area and the soldiers conducted searches of Palestinian homes, property and cars.
Israeli sources said a young man “believed to be an Arab” stabbed an Israeli man in the back using a screwdriver, and fled the scene; the wounded man is in his thirties.
According to Israeli daily, Haaretz, the man was stabbed near the Damascus Gate of the Old City, and ran away from the scene until running into Border Police officers in the Muslim Quarter, who then took him to a police station, before an Israeli ambulance transferred him to Shaare Zedek medical center.
At least eight Palestinians were abducted, late Saturday night and early Sunday, by the Israeli authorities in occupied East Jerusalem, whereas at least five others in the West Bank were summoned to appear for interrogation before the Israeli intelligence, say local sources.
Six Palestinians, identified as Islam and Rabah Odeh, Sharif Rajabi, Abud Abu Sbeih, Anwar Jamjoum and Kayed Kiswani, were taken during predawn raids across Jerusalem.
Later Sunday, Israeli police arrested two brothers from Bethlehem at their workplace in Jerusalem, under the pretext of ‘entering Israel without a permit.’ The brothers were identified as Adham, 19, and Mohannad Zawahra, 17.

The Palestinian Prisoner Society on Sunday launched distress signals over the psycho-physical torture tactics perpetrated by the Israeli prison service (IPS) against Palestinian prisoners.
Prisoner Mohamed Maleh, sentenced to life and 24 years in the Raymond jail, said the IPS has ceaselessly turned down appeals to alleviate such castigatory measures under the pretext that they are unbreakable political decisions.
The Raymond prisoners are set to launch protest moves by the end of November as a means to urge the IPS to trim down the restrictions imposed on prisoners’ access to the canteen, lift the visit-bans, and stop mistreatment during the inter-prison transfers.
Palestinian prisoner Ezzedine Atoun, among many other prisoners, has been subjected to harsh physical mistreatment and heavy beating at the hands of the Israeli wardens during the transfer process, lawyer of the Palestinian Prisoner Society quoted Palestinian detainees at the Raymond jail as reporting.
The lawyer further raised alarm bells over the abrupt break-ins into Palestinian prison cells and the provocative strip searches launched by the Israeli occupation jailers.
Monkedh Abu Utwan, ead of Bethlehem’s prisoners and ex-prisoners committee, sounded alarm bells over the “census night” Palestinian detainees are set to undergo from 10 p.m. until dawn time.
Abu Utwan dubbed the move an unprecedented menace seeking to perturb the detainees and deprive them of their right to have a lie-down.
The Anin Al-Kaid network denounced such castigatory measures and called on all human rights institutions to immediately step in and appeal to the Israeli court of justice to issue a resolution outlawing such practices.
PPS lawyer further spoke out against the anti-hygienic detention circumstances endured by the Palestinian detainees held at the Israeli Eshel jail due to the swarms of insects.
During a prison-visit, the lawyer quoted the captives as reporting that the situation has gone from bad to worse after the IPS sprayed an unfamiliar insect repellent into the cells, multiplying the insect infestation even further
The prisoners further denounced the overnight break-ins, strip searches, and shortages in blankets with the advent of the winter season.
Meanwhile, Palestinian prisoner Zamel Abu Shalouf cried for help after his health status has gone downhill amid a shocking apathy maintained by the IPS vis-à-vis his need of urgent medical check-ups
Prisoner Abu Shalouf, aged 35 and father of two children, has been diagnosed with critical cardio-vascular diseases, and neurological disorders as a result of mistreatment at Israeli lock-ups.

Israeli soldiers, on Sunday, shot and critically injured a Palestinian to the east of the town of al-Qarara, east of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
WAFA correspondence reports that soldiers stationed at a watch tower near Israel's Kissufim military base, opened fire at a Palestinian, critically injuring him.
Israeli soldiers open fire at Palestinians along the border areas almost on daily basis, in violation of the declared Egyptian-brokered truce agreement reached, between the Palestinian-Israeli sides, on August 26th of this year.
(Israel only rarely issues permits for Palestinians seeking work in Jerusalem.)
Meanwhile, in occupied Bethlehem and the nearby villages of Taqu, Aida refugee camp, and al-Khader, the Israeli army served summons to five Palestinians to appear for interrogation before the Israeli intelligence, in nearby Etzion military complex.
WAFA notes that the Palestinian Prisoners' Club (PPC) reported, on Sunday, a growing discontent among Palestinian prisoners incarcerated in ‘Eshel’ prison, due to infestation of bedbugs, continuing Israeli restrictions on family visits, and the daily midnight provocative raid and searches of their cells.
Israeli prison administration throughout Israeli jails, according to the PPC, prohibits prisoners from bringing blankets and warm winter clothes from outside, but allows them to buy blankets from the prison’s canteen; the blankets sold there are very expensive, very bad in quality and do not provide an acceptable amount of warmth.
More than 5,000 Palestinian prisoners are still detained in Israeli prisons, of whom dozens are serving a life sentence and many still on hunger strike, in protest of Israel's ongoing policy of Administrative Detention. Through this practice, which dates back to the time of British Mandate Palestine, prisoners are held without charge or trial under severe conditions, not knowing when or if they will ever be released.
The number of sick prisoners detained in Israeli jails has now reached 1,500, of whom 80 prisoners are suffering from serious health problems and neglected of necessary and adequate treatment.
Prisoners suffer from malignant diseases, paralysis and other disabilities, in addition to cases of mental illness and neurological disorder, Palestinian Minister of Prisoners’ Affairs, Issa Qaraqi, has stated.

A number of Palestinian citizens were rounded up by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Sunday following a round of assaults on Occupied Jerusalem and the West Bank.
Media sources based in Occupied Jerusalem told a PIC correspondent: “The IOF troops captured six Palestinians from the city, and deliberately caused a state of remarkable panic among children and women.”
The Israeli occupation soldiers have recently stepped up assaults on Palestinian civilians and Islamic sanctuaries in Occupied Jerusalem under flimsy pretexts.
The IOF patrols further kidnapped the Palestinian Zawahra brothers Muhanad, 17, and Adham, 19, at their workplaces in Jerusalem on charges of unlicensed entry.
Meanwhile, the IOF summoned five Palestinian civilians in the West Bank city of Bethlehem for interrogation following a spate of abrupt home-raids across the city, a PIC journalist quoted local sources as reporting.
The mass abduction-campaign culminated in the apprehension of a Palestinian youngster in al-Khalil.
By-standers at the scene said the Israeli occupation soldiers, backed with a number of military trucks, raided the city and scoured Palestinian family homes before they ultimately nabbed the youth and dragged him to an unknown detention center.
A flying roadblock was hastily pitched by the IOF at the main entrance to Sa’ir town in an attempt to come down heavily on the Palestinian natives and deny them easy access out of and into the city.

Palestinian photographer Haitham al Khateeb was injured by a tear gas canister in his leg, Friday, while dozens of participants suffered from teargas inhalation at the Bil'in weekly demonstration, near Ramallah, in the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian News Network reports that the demonstration was launched with a slogan of resistance against the closure of al-Aqsa Mosque (the first one since 1967), as well as the increase of Israeli segregative policy, the apartheid wall, and its overall violent stance against the people of Jerusalem.
Locals said Israeli forces were there before the beginning of the non-violent march, waiting for the participants and throwing not far from a hundred teargas canisters, to be followed by sound grenades and rubber-coated bullets, in their attempt to stop the march.
Dozens of soldiers and jeeps reportedly waited, always a little closer to the village, to prevent participants from reaching the area closest to the wall. The soldiers then attacked the demonstrators and chased them in jeeps to arrest them.
A French delegation visiting the village of Bil'in, with Mayor Onglavil Mr. Jean Doris participated in the march, as an expression of solidarity with the Palestinian People and Bil'in village.
