The District court recently extended the arrest of the 35-year old Jerusalemite prisoner Shifa’ Obeid Shallodi until the so-called “conduct officer” release his report to discuss the possibility of releasing her on condition of house-arrest and a bail; date of next session was not decided.
Prisoner Shifa’ Shallodi was arrested with her 14-year old son on 21/10/2015 after the occupation Special Forces raided their house in Al-Bustan Street in Silwan. Fadi was released a day after on conditions of house-arrest and a financial bail while the judge extended her arrest several times until an indictment was submitted against her.
The occupation forces also arrested her 17-year old son Samer and requested her husband Hamzeh Shallodi and son Basel for interrogation at the police interrogation centers in Jerusalem.
The occupation took away the mother Shifa’ from her husband and children by arresting and transferring her to Hasharon prison while Samer was arrested and transferred to Giv’on prison and Fadi has been deported from his house to his uncle’s house in Silwan.
The occupation accused Samer and Fadi of throwing stones, bricks and empty glasses while accused their mother of incitement and helping young men to prepare stones and empty bottles. Shifa’ was also accused of illegal staying in the city of Jerusalem since she holds a West Bank ID.
The husband is experiencing great suffering since the arrest of his wife and children and is trying to fill the gap left by the absence of the mother to his two other children; Cedra and Basel. He is also working hard to follow-up with the detainees’ affairs in the occupation’s prisons and his son who is deported to his uncle’s house.
Shallodi said: “Cedra and Basel need their mother. They continuously ask about her and when she will come home; they also need their brothers. The family should gather again under one roof like before and Basel needs follow-up and special care which he was receiving from his mother.
Fadi’s suffering is extra since he is deported from his house to his uncle’s house. He is banned from going outside the house and is not allowed to go to school which negatively affected his behavior and mood.
The Israeli occupation prevented Hamzeh Shallodi from visiting his wife in Hasharon prison under the pretext of being a former prisoner 24 years ago.
Shallodi family is waiting for a court session to be scheduled for Shifa’ to discuss the possibility of releasing her; note that the Magistrate judge agreed to release her last under conditions but the prosecution refused and appealed the decision at the District court which ordered to freeze the releasing order until the so-called “conduct officer” releases his report.

The Jerusalem and al-Aqsa Information Center said the IOA handed both al-Khatib and Ighbariyeh, two prominent leaders of the Islamic Movement in 1948 Occupied Palestine, military orders banning them from Occupied Jerusalem for six months.
Sheikh al-Khatib said in a Facebook statement posted shortly after he had received the ban: “Today we received an order banning us from entering Occupied Jerusalem for six months after an earlier order banning us from al-Aqsa for the same period has just come to an end.”
“The Israeli occupation should bear in mind that none of such bans on the Islamic Movement shall prevent us from serving Muslims and Palestinians alike and protecting Occupied Jerusalem and the holy al-Aqsa Mosque,” he added.
For his part, activist Ighbariyeh slammed the “new-old, arbitrary” ban, saying it will never prevent the Palestinians of the 1948 occupied territories from supporting Occupied Jerusalem and the al-Aqsa “as long as there is blood in their veins.”

Israeli Occupation Authority (IOA) Tuesday placed a travel ban on the Jerusalemite Jamal Amr, expert in Jerusalem affairs, along with his wife Zeina who teaches at the Aqsa Mosque. They were summoned for investigation at the Russian Compound in Occupied Jerusalem.
Teacher Zeina told Quds Press that she and her husband received a phone call while they were at King Hussein Bridge ordering them to come for interrogation before they had been informed of the ban of travel orders for a month.
The wife opined that the Israeli decision is a violation of the Palestinians’ right of movement which is guaranteed by the international law. It came within the Israeli policy of tightening the noose on Jerusalemites, she pointed out.

The British Labour Party will no longer be doing business with G4S.
The National Executive Committee of the party voted 12-4 to boycott G4S over its involvement with Israeli repression against Palestinians - providing security systems and control rooms to Israeli prisons imprisoning Palestinian prisoners and equipment to Israeli police training centers in Jerusalem.
Campaigners have long called upon the Labour Party to stop doing business with G4S, whose human rights abuses are not limited to Palestine but include its record on forced deportations from the United Kingdom, prisons in South Africa, mining companies in Canada and elsewhwere. Protests have taken place outside Labour Party conferences calling for an end to the contracts with G4S. Palestinian political prisoners have urged international action to boycott G4Shave urged international action to boycott G4S.
This comes as 220 Palestinian and international organizations are calling on the United Nations to stop doing business with G4S. The UN provides G4S, the world's largest private security corporation, with $22 million in business annually. A week of action began on Monday with a protest in New York City during the UN's commemoration of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, calling on the UN to join the boycott of G4S.
G4S security systems and control rooms are used in the Israeli prisons that imprison Palestinian political prisoners, and in the interrogation centers where Palestinians - including children - are tortured and abused. G4S is also providing equipment to the Israeli police training center in Jerusalem, training Israeli police in the suppression of Palestinians in Jerusalem. Through these contracts, G4S is involved in the imprisonment of over 6,500 Palestinian political prisoners and the Israeli attacks on Palestinians in Jerusalem, including Israeli attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Gates Foundation divested its $170 million investment in G4S in 2014 after a global campaign, and universities in Europe and the UK have rejected contracts with G4S over its actions in Palestine.
