The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) detained, Friday afternoon, a number of journalists at the entrance to Kafr Qaddum town, east of Qalqilia, and prevented their entry.
The journalists were stopped at the entrance to the town and stripped of their identity cards before being prevented from having access in, WAFA photojournalist reported.
The journalists were on their way to cover the weekly anti-settlement protest in the town, he added.
Residents of Kafr Qaddum began staging weekly protests in 2011 against land confiscations, as well as the closure of the village's southern road by Israeli forces. The road, which has been closed for 14 years, is the main route to the nearby city of Nablus, the nearest economic center.

Palestinian Prisoners Center for Studies said on Friday that an Israeli court extended the administrative detention of the Hamas leader in Tubas city, Nader Sawafta. The extension was made for another four months for the third time in a row without indictment or trial.
The spokeswoman of the Center, Amina al-Tawil, elaborated that Sawafta, 45, was arrested after Israeli forces broke into and violently searched his house on November 15, 2016. Then, he was held under administrative detention for 6 months which was extended for three times now.
Sawafta, a candidate in the cancelled municipal election, spent over 15 years in Israeli jails and was detained more than once in Palestinian Authority jails.
Captive Sawafta is currently detained in Negev desert jail and has been denied the right of family visitation for alleged security reasons, Tawil pointed out.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Thursday kidnapped seven Palestinian citizens during raids on homes in different areas of al-Khalil and Qabatiya town in Jenin.
Local sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that Israeli troops stormed Beit Ummar town in al-Khalil and kidnapped four young ex-detainees, including two brothers, from their homes and took them to Etzion detention center.
They added that soldiers also stormed al-Arroub refugee camp in al-Khalil, raided a house belonging to the family of martyr Omar Madhi and kidnapped his brother Hasan.
Another citizen called Anas al-Harrini was also taken prisoner during an IOF campaign in Yatta city, south of al-Khalil.
In a separate incident, the IOF stormed workshops in al-Khalil city and Beit Fajjar town and confiscated their equipment, which is worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, at the pretext they are used to manufacture weapons.

An Israeli court on Wednesday extended the administrative detention of Palestinian lawmaker Ibrahim Dahbour for another four months, without indictment or trial.
His family told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that after his detention last March, MP Dahbour was immediately held in administrative detention for four months, adding that an Israeli court extended his detention twice after that and refused to release him.
MP Dahbour was kidnapped by Israeli soldiers at a military checkpoint on March 23, 2017. He had been jailed several times before, mostly after his election to the Palestinian Legislative Council in 2006.
In a different incident, Israeli soldiers at al-Jalama crossing withdrew a permit allowing a Palestinian citizen from Jenin refugee camp to visit his brother in an Israeli jail.
Local sources told the PIC that soldiers at al-Jalama crossing prevented Asaad Khanfar from visiting his brother and confiscated the document allowing him to go to the prison in Israel.

A lawyer working for the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) has reported that the Israeli Prison Authority in Asqalan, has transferred a hunger striking Palestinian detainee from its facility to the solitary confinement section of Ohali Kidar prison.
Lawyer Khaled Mahajna said the detainee, Bilal Thiab, 32, went on hunger strike fifteen days ago, and has been subject to constant violations since then.
He added that Thiab even stopped drinking water several days ago to pressure the Prison Authority into moving him to another prion, especially since he was held in a very small, bug-ridden dirty cell, surrounded by Israeli inmates, held for criminal offensives, and continuously shout insults and slurs at him.
The detainee has also been stripped from basic supplies, and is left with a thin torn mattress and sheet, in addition to having to use his own shoe as a pillow.
He is currently held without running water, and has not been allowed to shower or charge his clothes since he started his strike.

The soldiers invaded several alleys in the refugee camp, and fired many live rounds and gas bombs at local youths, who hurled stones at the military jeeps.
Medical sources said a young man was shot with a live round in his leg, before he was moved to Beit Jala governmental hospital.
Several other Palestinians suffered the effects of teargas inhalation, and received treatment by local Red Crescent medics.
Furthermore, the soldiers invaded and searched several homes, and abducted Ismail Khalil Oleyyan, 25, Ahmad Omar al-Atrash, 16, Bassel Osama al-Ayasa, 24, Ra’fat Abu ‘Aker, 49, and Omran al-Atrash, 21.
It is worth mentioning that Omran was abducted after the soldiers invaded his home looking for his son, Akram, but took the father instead to pressure his son into turning himself in to the military.
The soldiers invaded several alleys in the refugee camp, and fired many live rounds and gas bombs at local youths, who hurled stones at the military jeeps.
Medical sources said a young man was shot with a live round in his leg, before he was moved to Beit Jala governmental hospital.
Several other Palestinians suffered the effects of teargas inhalation, and received treatment by local Red Crescent medics.
Furthermore, the soldiers invaded and searched several homes, and abducted Ismail Khalil Oleyyan, 25, Ahmad Omar al-Atrash, 16, Bassel Osama al-Ayasa, 24, Ra’fat Abu ‘Aker, 49, and Omran al-Atrash, 21.
It is worth mentioning that Omran was abducted after the soldiers invaded his home looking for his son, Akram, but took the father instead to pressure his son into turning himself in to the military.
