Three Palestinian detainees’ health situation has been seriously deteriorating in Israeli jails due to the Israeli Prison Service’s deliberate medical negligence.
The Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) said that the heath condition of the prisoner Ibrahim Ghussein has sharply deteriorated due to deliberate medical neglect .
Following his visit to Raymond prison, the PPS’ lawyer said that the prisoner Ghussein suffers from difficult health problems including throat tumor, sight problems, constant headache, stomach inflammations, and high blood pressure. However, he did not receive any appropriate medical treatment.
Ghussein, from Gaza Strip, was detained in 2009 and sentenced to 6 years and half imprisonment. He is a father of three children.
For his part, the 21-year-old prisoner Mohamed Ibrahim, from Bethlehem, suffers from enlarged spleen that caused him chronic pain in his legs and back.
Ibrahim’s health status has seriously worsened due to his repeated transfer and for long hours in the “Bosta”, the designated vehicle to transfer prisoners to the military courts and back to prison. It is in fact a mobile cage with a metal chair.
Along the same line, the prisoner Saed Issa, 42, suffers from serious injury to his bones and fractures after being shot several times by Israeli forces during his detention in 2003.
Issa remained in coma for 17 days following his detention, the PPS said, pointing out that despite his difficult health condition he was deprived from receiving any medical treatment. Issa is serving a 26-year imprisonment term.

Israel has detained 900 Palestinians from East Jerusalem and pressed charges against 300 of them since the July 2 murder of East Jerusalem teen Mohammad Abu Khdeir, according to Israel's public security minister.
10/27/14 -- The Alternative Information Center (AIC)
Israel's Minister of Public Security, Yitzhak Aharonovich (Yisrael Beitenu), gave these figures to the Knesset's Internal Affairs and Environment Committee Monday, according to the settler-affiliated news site Arutz 7. The powerful committee held a discussion about the security situation in Jerusalem, during which Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat called for creation of a special police force for areas in which clashes are prevalent. Barkat claimed that “Residents of the Arab neighbourhoods ask that we bring the police”.
At the request of Aharonovich and others, Israel's State Attorney has issued directives to carry out arrests and toughen punishment for rock throwers, including possible fines for the parents of minors who throw rocks. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu further urged Monday that additional directives to substantially stiffen penalties for rock throwers be moved speedily forward. Such tactics were utilised – unsuccessfully – by Israel during the first Intifada.
Clashes in the East Jerusalem neighbourhoods of Silwan, Ras al Amud and Issawiya continued Monday, as Israeli police and border police used “riot dispersal means” against Palestinian protesters. Israel had arrested eight Palestinians throughout East Jerusalem early Monday, four of whom were minors.
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas sent an urgent message to the US on Sunday, requesting its intervention against Israeli policies in Jerusalem, and in particular attempts to change the status quo in the al Aqsa mosque compound (Temple Mount).

According to the PIC reporter, a number of Israeli military vehicles raided Bethlehem late yesterday and broke into Aida and Doheisha refugee camps.
Four young men were arrested in Aida camp by IOF soldiers. One of the detainees was later released.
Heavy rubber bullets, tear gas and sound bombs were fired during clashes that broke out in Doheisha camp when Israeli forces stormed it, the PIC reporter added. No arrests were reported, while a young man suffered rubber bullet injures.
In response, Palestinian angry protesters smashed last night a settlers’ bus and a car in al-Khudar town southern Bethlehem.
A state of tension prevailed throughout the town when Israeli forces carried out a combing operation looking for the assailants.
In Nablus, two Palestinians were injured during violent clashes that broke out in Furik town when IOF soldiers stormed the town. The injured were transferred to hospital for treatment.
Eyewitnesses said that Israeli troops were deployed throughout the neighborhoods of the town which led to the outbreak of clashes.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Monday nabbed at least 14 Palestinian citizens in an arbitrary wholesale arrest campaign launched throughout the West Bank and Occupied Jerusalem.
Local Palestinian sources said the IOF rounded up four Palestinian young men from the southern West Bank city of Bethlehem following a series of home-raids in Bethlehem’s Aida refugee camp and al-Doha town.
Sources in al-Khalil said the Israeli occupation soldiers captured the 16-year-old child Ala al-Rajabi from the Old City of al-Khalil and dragged him to an unidentified destination after alleging that he tried to stab an IOF soldier.
Troops of the Israeli occupation army and police further kidnapped eight Palestinian citizens from Occupied Jerusalem under charges of having joined recent clashes in the city.
Earlier, overnight on Sunday the IOF apprehended Palestinian university student Khalil Muhajed Dweikat, 22, after having stormed his own family home in Nablus city and ransacked it, Ahrar center for Prisoner Studies and Human Rights quoted the captive’s father as reporting.
The father said that the soldiers damaged the house’s front door and confiscated personal computers and mobile phones. He added that his son has only one course left before his graduation.
In a related development, the IOF on Monday morning knocked down Palestinians’ family homes and residential tents east of al-Khalil’s Yatta town.
Rateb al-Jabour, Coordinator of the Anti-Settlement Committee east of Yatta, said the so-called Israeli civil administration crews, escorted by large troops of the Israeli occupation soldiers, stormed Um al-Kheir neighborhood via armed bulldozers and demolished homes and residential tents owned by al-Hathalins.
Al-Jabour further raised alarm bells over the frequent settler attacks carried out by fanatic hordes of the nearby illegal Karmiel settlement built at the expense of Palestinians’ private lands.

The Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) on Sunday brought Palestinian prisoner Salim Haja, sentenced to 16 back-to-back life-sentences, before the Salem military court.
Haja’s family said in an exclusive statement to the PIC: “The IOA transferred our 41-year-old son Salim from Raymond jail to the Salem military court in a prison vehicle on Thursday.”
“Our son, he who has been sentenced to 16 back-to-back life sentences 12 years ago, is put on trial again,” the family said, slamming such a sentencing retrial as a malevolent Israeli attempt aimed at dampening the spirits of the detainee.
The 16 life sentences, to which Salim, a Nablus native, has been subjected since April 2002, had been issued by the IOA on charges of Salim’s involvement in resistance attacks launched by al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, in response to Israeli aggressions.
An observer said Salim is a one, among many other countless cases, of Palestinian prisoners who have been victims of harsh Israeli prison sentences by reason of having partaken in armed retorts of self-defense against the world’s most belligerent and sadistic colonial powers.

Palestinian medical sources in occupied East Jerusalem have reported that scores of residents have been injured during clashes that took place in different parts of occupied Jerusalem following noon prayers, after the soldiers and police prevented thousands from entering the al-Aqsa Mosque.
Soldiers kidnapped three children, including a physically challenged boy.
Eyewitnesses said protests took place in different parts of East Jerusalem, and in several nearby towns, after the soldiers prevented thousands from entering the al-Aqsa and its yards for Friday prayers.
Hundreds also took to the streets protesting the death of Abdul-Rahman Shalloudi, who was killed Wednesday, after the police claimed he deliberately rammed his speeding car into Israelis waiting for the light rail, while many reports indicated he might have lost control of his vehicle due to high speed wounding seven, and killing a 3-month-old baby.
The clashes took place in many Palestinian communities in Jerusalem, including Wad al-Joz, Silwan and the al-‘Eesawiyya towns.
The Radio Bethlehem 2000 said undercover Israeli police officers, and soldiers have kidnaped three Palestinian children, including a disabled child, and took them to a police station in the city.
The three have been identified as Mohammad Rashed al-‘Ajlouni, 14, his relative Mohammad, and Mohammad Abu ‘Asab.
The Police fired several gas bombs and dozens of rubber-coated metal bullets in Wad al-Joz, wounding three Palestinians, including the cameraperson of the Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Silwan, Ahmad Siyam.
Dozens suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation; the soldiers also sprayed protesters and homes with waste-water.
Clashes also took place in Ras al-‘Amoud after the soldiers fired bombs, concussion grenades and rubber-coated metal bullets targeting worshipers who had to pray in the street after being prevented from entering the al-Aqsa Mosque.
More clashes also took place in the al-‘Eesawiyya town, while many Palestinians suffered the effects of teargas inhalation.
Late on Thursday evening, soldiers invaded a residential building in Wad al-Jouz, and attacked many Palestinians before firing gas bombs and rubber-coated bullets into the homes.
Eyewitnesses said the soldiers invaded the building during clashes that took place in Wad al-Jouz, and attacked several men, women and children.
A 12-year-old child, identified as ‘Awni Es’eeda, was shot by a rubber-coated metal bullet in the abdomen, while resident Nasser Es’eeda, 47, suffered fractures in his arm after the soldiers beat him with their rifles and batons.
The soldiers also assaulted ‘Adnan Es’eeda who suffers from a heart condition and kidnaped two Palestinians identified as Hazem Es’eeda and Ahmad Salayma.
Earlier on Friday, the army imposed various restrictions on the entry to the al-Aqsa Mosque, preventing all Muslim men below the age of forty from entering the mosque or its yards, while hundreds of soldiers and undercover forces were deployed all over the city and its nearby villages and towns.
Thousands of Palestinians performed Friday prayers in the streets of Wad al-Jouz, Ras al-‘Amoud, Al-Misrara and Salah Ed-Deen Street, while the police and soldiers took pictures of the worshipers, especially the young men.
Israeli daily Haaretz said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has instructed the police to deploy reinforcements from several cities into Jerusalem to take “a more aggressive approach” in different Palestinian neighborhoods in occupied East Jerusalem.

Abu Bakr al-Shimi
Sheikh Kamal al-Khatib, Deputy Head of the Islamic Movement inside the Green Line, has warned of what he dubbed “the step-by-step” policy adopted by the Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) as part of a larger Judaization scheme aimed at entrenching Israel’s anti-Muslim dogmas and building its alleged temple on the ruins of holy al-Aqsa Mosque. “The Israeli occupation is putting into operation the step-by-step policy to ruin holy al-Aqsa and set up the alleged temple,” Khatib said in a press release.
“In 2014 Israel has turned whatever lies beneath al-Aqsa into a Jewish property, bolstered through tunnels and excavations. We detected living proofs of underground synagogues, temples, museums, and Jewish religious schools below al-Aqsa,” he added.
He said that Israel is seeking to quench its sacrilegious thirst by drawing plans for the misappropriation of whatever lies above the grounds and courtyards of al-Aqsa via boosting up its spatio-temporal division schemes.
He further spoke out against the unprecedented upsurge in the number of Israeli assailers who have been storming holy al-Aqsa Mosque and vandalizing its yards even during the holy month of Ramadan, under the back-up of extremist rabbis, MKs, ministers, and supporters.
The Israeli occupation has set up a pre-planned agenda for settler break-ins to be launched during Jewish holidays, paying heed to neither Muslims nor Arabs, he further warned.
“The real danger of what has been going in al-Aqsa lies in the confluence of Israel’s political and popular wills,” Khatib charged.
He slammed Netanyahu’s calls for tightening grip around al-Aqsa and cracking down on the Muslim masses, declaring: “Such statements, released during a meeting of Israel’s national security council… are obviously signs of Netanyahu’s deep-rooted abhorrence towards Muslims and Arabs and of his biased stance aimed to give a push to Israeli vandalism.”
He further warned of Israel’s attempts to enforce a spatio-temporal division on the Mosque and make use of drones to keep tabs on local developments, which are all signs of a projected escalation in Israel’s desecration schemes against al-Aqsa.
He hailed the Palestinian sit-inners who have been on the alert to Israel’s vandalism.
Khatib called on Palestinians and Muslims, nationwide and overseas, to assume their responsibilities vis-à-vis holy al-Aqsa Mosque, the third most revered shrine for 1,500 million Muslims.
Khatib’s statement came at a time when extremist bunches of the so-called alleged temple organizations, escorted by large troops of the Israeli occupation police, stormed holy al-Aqsa Mosque via al-Maghareba gate and provocatively defiled its courtyards on Sunday morning.
The Israeli occupation police have come down heavily on the peaceful Muslim congregation, denying them free access into the Mosque and seizing their IDs at al-Aqsa gates.
A PIC correspondent at the scene said the Israeli occupation forces nabbed Palestinian elderly citizen Abu Bakr al-Shimi from the Mosque after they heavily beating him up.

At least 10 Palestinian young men, including a Hamas affiliate, were captured by the IOF in al-Khalil city while another Hamas-affiliate was nabbed by the IOF in Bethlehem.
Meanwhile, the IOF on Sunday stormed the West Bank city of Jenin and broke into the family homes of Palestinian ex-prisoner Maher Jamil Khameissa, 27, and his relatives, moments before they handed his father a summons for interrogation.
Traffic congestion cropped up in Yabad, near Jenin, after the IOF stormed the town and cordoned off its main entrances.
The IOF further summoned a number of Palestinian ex-prisoners in al-Khalil city for interrogation.

The Israeli Occupation Authorities (IOA) have
isolated the prisoner Raed Mousa, who has been on hunger strike for 35
consecutive days, in Ella solitary confinement in Beersheba despite his
serious health deterioration.
The Higher Committee for Prisoners Affairs
pointed out that the prisoner Mousa has launched his hunger strike in
protest against his renewed administrative detention for the third time
in a row.
The Israeli Prison Service (IPS) tried to forcibly break his strike before holding him in solitary confinement in Beersheba.
The committee said that the hunger striker became unable to move after losing too much of his weight, saying that his isolation came as part of the Israeli revenge policy.
The committee held the IOA fully responsible for Mousa’s life, warning of the seriousness of his continued isolation.
Along the same line, Waad association for prisoners and ex-prisoners warned against Israel’s new decision to allow use of guns against prisoners during Israeli break-ins into prisoners’ rooms.
The local human right association strongly condemned the decision that “violates all red lines”.
“We're witnessing a dangerous precedent being set by the Israeli authorities that would lead to multiple crimes against Palestinian prisoners”, said spokesman for the association Abduallah Qindil.
He called upon the UN Higher Commissioner and Human Rights Watch to intervene immediately to stop the implementation of this decision.
