The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) launched at dawn Monday a large-scale raid and arrest campaign throughout the West Bank, which led to the outbreak of violent clashes.
In Qalqilia, dozens of Israeli soldiers stormed Azzoun town and arrested eight Palestinians including children.
Several locals were also attacked and beaten during the raid, while three workshops were violently stormed. Equipment of the workshops were confiscated.
Local sources told the PIC reporter that nearly 200 Israeli soldiers stormed the town after closing all its entrances by military checkpoints. Dozens of homes were stormed and violently searched during the raid, the sources pointed out.
In Jenin, Israeli forces detained overnight and at dawn today three Palestinians after breaking into Yamon town. A state of tension prevailed among the locals after Israeli forces stormed and searched several homes.
In Tulkarem, several Palestinians choked on teargas as Israeli forces stormed in large numbers Tulkarem refugee camp amid heavy firing of live ammunition and teargas bombs.
Following the raid, violent clashes broke out in the refugee camp and lasted for long hours. At least one of the inhabitants was arrested during the clashes.
In the same context, the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) reported that Israeli forces arrested 52 Palestinians over the past 24 hours throughout the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.
The rights group said that 39 arrests were reported in occupied Jerusalem, while seven detainees were rounded up in Qalqilia. Two arrests were also reported in Jenin, while a young woman was detained in Tulkarem.

Eyewitnesses affirmed that Israeli forces stopped a Palestinian bus carrying prisoners’ families at Tiba checkpoint near Tulkarem and prevented 14 passengers from completing their trip to Negev prison.
The 14 passengers were prevented from traveling to Negev although they earlier got an Israeli permit to visit their imprisoned sons.

The Israeli Magistrate Court sentenced Monday morning the Jerusalemite citizen Samer Abu Eisha, 29, to 20 months.
Samer was arrested from the Red Cross headquarters on January 6, 2016 after he refused an Israeli order to expel him from occupied Jerusalem.
Samer is currently held in Gilboa prison after being transferred from prison to prison over the past months. Samer’s father described the court’s order to imprison his son for 20 months as unfair.

Limited clashes broke out Monday morning after Israeli police forces stormed a local school in occupied Jerusalem’s Old City.
Local sources affirmed that Israeli police violently stormed Islamic orphanage school amid heavy fire of teargas bombs.
Following the raid, violent clashes broke out between Israeli forces and Palestinian residents who gathered near the school. No injuries were reported among the students, the sources added.
According to the sources, Israeli forces stormed the school after the students organized a solidarity event in support of Palestinian prisoners and martyrs.
However, Israeli forces claimed that an Israeli military vehicle was stoned near the school. Three students were detained just few minutes after leaving the school.

Eyewitnesses said dozens of Israeli soldiers surrounded the girl and ordered her not to move in a remarkably panic-stricken voice.
They later detained the girl without explaining the reasons for the move.
The girl’s identity has not been identified yet amid fears that the Israeli occupation army would accuse her of anti-occupation stabbing attempt.
Eyewitnesses said dozens of Israeli soldiers surrounded the girl and ordered her not to move in a remarkably panic-stricken voice.
They later detained the girl without explaining the reasons for the move.
The girl’s identity has not been identified yet amid fears that the Israeli occupation army would accuse her of anti-occupation stabbing attempt.

Israeli soldiers, and police officers, invaded on Monday at dawn, the ar-Ram town, north of occupied East Jerusalem, and broke into the home of Misbah Abu Sbeih, who was killed Sunday after carrying out a deadly shooting attack in Jerusalem, and detained his daughter, Eman, only 14 years of age. The invasion into the property was the second in a few hours.
The family said the soldiers violently searched the property, before taking Eman to the al-Maskobiyya detention and interrogation center.
The invasion led to clashes between the soldiers and dozens of local youngsters, who hurled stones on the military vehicles, while the soldiers fired gas bombs and concussion grenades.
Eman was taken prisoner after publishing a personal video on her Facebook page in which she said “she was proud of her father, who died a martyr.”
She said that she prayed with her father, on Sunday at dawn, before he left home in order to serve a four-month prison sentence, for “trying to prevent soldiers and settlers from invading the courtyards of the al-Aqsa Mosque.”
The daughter added that she and her family said goodbye to him at dawn, believing he was going to prison for four months. He was killed after fatally shooting an Israeli officer and a woman.
She also stated that she asked her father whether she should visit him while in prison, but he said that she, her sister and brothers, should take care of their studies, and do well I school.
“We are proud of our father; I always prayed with him, including on Sunday at dawn in our home,” she said, “He also said goodbye to my sister, and asked my brothers and me to study well, and to do good, while he serves his prisoner sentence…”
“He was imprisoned many times, sometimes for eight months, a year or two, so it became an ordinary part of our lives” she added, “He carried out a shooting operation, killing two Zionists and wounded eight, thank God…”
It is worth mentioning that the soldiers invaded the family home and took measurements of the property in preparation for demolishing it.
The soldiers also invaded and searched many homes belong to relatives of Abu Sbeih.

Israeli courts have issued 31 administrative detention orders recently against Palestinian internees, including a Palestinian lawmaker, according to the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS).
Those detainees received different administrative prison terms, ranging between three to six months.
10 of those administrative detention orders were issued for the first time against prisoners and the others were extensions to previous similar orders against 21 prisoners, who have spent months or years in jail, with no indictment or trial.
Palestinian lawmaker Mohamed al-Natsheh are among those administrative detainees, but he has already served about 20 years of actual prison sentences and administrative detention in Israeli jails before his recent arrest.

A PIC news correspondent said several Israeli army troops rolled into Jenin’s western town of Zabouba and sealed off its main access road with a military checkpoint before they wreaked havoc on civilian homes and cracked down on the anti-occupation protesters.
Several Palestinians both indoors and outdoors, choked on teargas.

The soldiers also invaded Qarawat Bani Hassan town, in the central West Bank district of Salfit, and kidnapped two Palestinians identified as Mohammad Mahfouth Mer’ey, 21, and Ali Abdullah ‘Aassi, 22.

Misbah Abu Sbeih 39 and his cildren
Israeli sources have reported, Sunday, that two Israelis were killed, and six others were wounded, in a drive-by shooting near the Light-Rail stop, close to the Police headquarters, in Jerusalem, and that the Palestinian, who carried out the shooting attack, was killed after a short pursuit.
Israeli online daily Haaretz has reported that the Palestinian carried a drive-by shooting at the Ammunition Hill light rail stop, close to the main National Headquarters of the Jerusalem Police, and added that the Palestinian was killed after a short pursuit, after he wounded several persons.
Haaretz added that two of the wounded Israelis, a police officer, 30, and a 60-year-old woman, later succumbed to their wounds.
Two of the wounded Israelis, who were injured in the initial attack, suffered severe and moderate wounds, while a third also suffered a moderate wound shortly afterwards.

The Palestinian has been identified as Misbah Abu Sbeih, 39, from Silwan town, in Jerusalem. The names of the Israelis who were killed in the attack have not yet been released.
The Maan Palestinian News Agency said one of its reporters interviewed Abu Sbeih, Saturday, a day before he was supposed to turn himself in to the police to serve a four-month prison sentence, after he was convicted of “assaulting a police officer in Jerusalem’s Old City.” He was also denied from entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque, or its vicinity, for six months.
After killing him, the Israeli army stormed his home and kidnapped his three children, before taking them to an interrogation center.
Israeli sources have reported, Sunday, that two Israelis were killed, and six others were wounded, in a drive-by shooting near the Light-Rail stop, close to the Police headquarters, in Jerusalem, and that the Palestinian, who carried out the shooting attack, was killed after a short pursuit.
Israeli online daily Haaretz has reported that the Palestinian carried a drive-by shooting at the Ammunition Hill light rail stop, close to the main National Headquarters of the Jerusalem Police, and added that the Palestinian was killed after a short pursuit, after he wounded several persons.
Haaretz added that two of the wounded Israelis, a police officer, 30, and a 60-year-old woman, later succumbed to their wounds.
Two of the wounded Israelis, who were injured in the initial attack, suffered severe and moderate wounds, while a third also suffered a moderate wound shortly afterwards.
