Israeli soldiers attacked Thursday, Palestinian farmers and volunteers picking olive trees in orchards owned by the residents in the al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya village, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus.
The WAFA Palestinian News Agency said the soldiers invaded the Palestinian orchards, near the illegal Aliya colony, which was installed on private lands.
It added that the soldiers fired any gas bombs, and concussion grenades, in addition to assaulting several Palestinians with their batons.
The soldiers also detained the Samer ‘Oweiss, the head of al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya Village Council, and Suleiman Oweiss, in addition to confiscating mobile phones carried by Palestinian journalists.
On Wednesday, several colonists attacked many Palestinians picking olive trees in their orchards in Ya’bad town, west of the northern West Bank city of Jenin.

The attacks come while groups of illegal Israeli colonialist settlers continue to invade Palestinian olive orchards, cut trees and assault the villagers, in several parts of the occupied West Bank.
The violations always witness a serious escalation every year during the olive harvest season in occupied Palestine.

The Hebrew website 0404 quoted the Israeli army as saying that its forces arrested 13 wanted Palestinians in the West Bank.
According to local sources, the IOF kidnaped five citizens during campaigns in Nablus, al-Am’ari refugee camp in Ramallah and Qabatiya.

They added that the soldiers also fired many live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs and concussion grenades at Palestinian protesters.

It is worth mentioning that Islam’s mother, 73 years of age, has a son, Abdul-Mon’em Abu Hmeid, who was killed by the army on May 31, 1994, in nearby Qalandia refugee camp, in addition to five other sons, imprisoned by Israel, four of them are serving life terms.
Her husband, Mohammad Yousef Abu Hmeid, died in December of 2014, without being able to visit with any of his detained sons, due to what Israeli called “security considerations.”
The army claims that Islam Abu Hmeid, 33, who was taken prisoner on June 6th, 2018, killed an Israeli soldier, identified Ronen Lubarsky, after dropping a slab on his head, on May 24th 2018, during a military invasion into the refugee camp, causing a very serious injury resulting in his death on May 26th.
An Israeli court sentenced Islam to life in prison, in addition to a fine of 258.000 Shekels to be paid to the family of the slain soldier.
His brothers Nasser, 37, is serving seven life terms and fifty years in prison, Nasr, 35, is serving five life terms, Sharif, 29, is serving four life terms, and Mohammad, 24, is serving two life terms and 30 years in prison.

An Israeli court on Wednesday evening issued a verdict banning three pro-Aqsa female activists from staying near the Aqsa Mosque’s al-Silsila Gate in Occupied Jerusalem.
According to local sources, an Israeli court in Jerusalem issued a verdict, at the request of the police, ordering activists Hinadi al-Halawani, Aida Sidawi and Madlin Issa to stay 200 meters away from al-Silsila Gate for two months.
The occupation police already banned the three activists from entering the Aqsa Mosque for several months following a court decision.
The activists decided to stay at al-Silsila Gate every day after they received orders banning their entry to the Aqsa Mosque for their role in defending the Islamic holy site against settlers’ violations.

Mohammad Abu al-Hummus, a member of the Follow-Up Committee in al-‘Isawiya, said the soldiers invaded and ransacked the home of Nayef Mustafa.
He added that the soldiers abducted Nayef and his child, who was screaming and crying in fear. video
The army claimed it was chasing Palestinians who hurled stones at their jeeps.

The longest hunger striking Palestinian administrative detainee ended his fast today, after the Israeli High Court set a date for his release, said the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS).
It said, according to WAFA, that Ahmad Ghannam, from the town of Dura, in the south of the West Bank, who has been on hunger strike for a straight 102 days, in protest against his open-ended administrative detention without charge of trial, decided to call off his strike after the High Court ruled to set a ceiling for his detention, which means his release after completing the current administrative detention period.
According to the PPS, Ghannam was in a critical condition due to his long hunger strike. He was recently moved from isolation at Nitzan prison, in central Israel, to an Israeli hospital.
Ghannam was detained on June 18 of this year. He is a former prisoner and was taken into custody for his resistance activities, for a total of nine years.
He suffered from leukemia. He is married and a father of two young children.
In addition to Ghannam, five other administrative detainees remain on hunger strike, demanding an end for their incarceration in Israel. These include:
Ismail Ali, who has been on hunger strike for 92 days, Tareq Qadan, on strike for 85 days, Ahmad Zahran, 32 days, Musab Hindi, 30 days and Hiba Labadi, a Jordanian citizen detained when she was crossing into the West Bank coming from Jordan, and who has also been on hunger strike for 30 days, since her detention.

A Palestinian young man was injured on Wednesday after Israeli occupation forces (IOF) opened fire at him near a separation wall gate in Zeita town, north of Tulkarem City.
Local sources told the PIC reporter that the IOF shot a Palestinian workman, whose identity has not been known yet, in the leg then arrested him.
The IOF in the recent weeks have shot or arrested dozens of Palestinian workers near the separation wall in Jenin and Tulkarem during their attempts to enter the Palestinian territories occupied since 1948.

Marwan Sabah, the head of Um Safa Village Council, said ten Israeli assailants from Halamish illegal colony, and several soldiers, invaded the Palestinian lands in al-Ghabat area, west of the village, and assaulted the farmers before removing them out of their lands.
Sabah added that one of the colonists owns a cow farm in the illegal colony, near the Palestinian lands, and repeatedly attacks the farmers and their lands.
He also said that the soldiers detained two employees of the local council, who were on the lands with the farmers, and released them later.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Wednesday prevented the family of Palestinian prisoners Qassam and Adham Jabbarin, two brothers from Jenin refugee camp, from visiting them in the Negev jail.
Members of the family reported that the IOF at al-Jalama checkpoint barred them from traveling to the Negev jail to visit their relatives, although they obtained a visit permit through the Red Cross.
The same family is still prevented from seeing prisoner Qasam Jabbarin in the Gilboa jail under security pretexts.

The soldiers prevented photojournalists from covering the demolition of the house.
Martyr Abu Ali was killed by Israeli soldiers in early August 2011.
Meanwhile, the IOF stormed different areas of the West Bank and kidnaped seven young men at the pretext of their involvement in activities against soldiers and settlers.
The IOF also confiscated dozens of thousands of shekels during its raids on homes in Silwad town in Ramallah.
