Ahrar Center for prisoners’ studies and human rights said that Israeli occupation authorities arrest ex-detainees mainly in order to weaken their morale. Director of the Ahrar Center Fouad Khuffash said that the IOA administrative detention policy seeks to undermine the ex-captives’ steadfastness and warn them of the consequences of launching any national activity.
He added that all the administrative detainees are liberated prisoners who had already served many years in the Israeli jails. Many prisoners have been held in administrative detention for many years without charge, Khuffash noted.
He urged the official institutions and human rights organizations to develop a national plan to confront the IOA policies that are targeting the Palestinians through such kind of arrests.

The sources added that IOF soldiers intensified their presence in the town during the past few days, and launched a campaign of mass arrests in the ranks of youths and children under the pretext of throwing stones and Molotov cocktails at the soldiers and settlers.
Meanwhile, violent clashes erupted on Saturday night between dozens of youths and Israeli forces at the entrance to the Fawwar refugee camp south of al-Khalil.
Eyewitnesses told PIC that the Israeli soldiers stormed the entrance to the camp, and fired tear gas canisters and metal bullets at the shops, houses and the young people who were present in the agricultural fields.
The youths responded by throwing stones and empty bottles at the occupation forces, and the clashes broke out.

Ahrar Center for prisoners' studies and human rights called on the World Health Organization, Doctors without Borders and all human rights organizations to intervene to end medical neglect against Palestinian female prisoners in Israeli jails. Fouad Khuffash, director of the Center, said in a statement on Sunday that the Palestinian female prisoners greatly suffer as a result of the ongoing medical negligence and the absence of specialized doctors.
He pointed out that the illnesses which affect the female captives are always discovered after their aggravation, besides there are no periodic checks for prisoners.
Khuffash also noted that the condition of the prisoners vary in terms of the changing physiological nature, which requires special and accurate tests that are not provided by the Hasharon Prison administration.
There are 13 Palestinian women held in the Israeli jails, among them patient captive Lena Jerboni, who is serving a 17-year prison sentence, and who had recently underwent a surgery.

Inconsistencies in the testimony of police individuals on the charges against prisoner In’aam Qlambo

Jerusalemite prisoner, In’aam Qlambo, was lately presented to the Israeli Magistrate court judge to hear witnesses regarding the charges against her which include: participating in an illegal protest and obstructing police work in addition to assaulting police individuals on the 2nd of April, 2013.
Mufeed Al-Hajj, the Palestinian prisoner’s club lawyer, said that his client was presented to the Magistrate court judge last Wednesday, and police individuals gave their testimonies regarding the charges submitted against her. It was obvious through the recording of video cameras installed in Damascus Gate that his client did not attack any police personnel like they claim. She only moved her hands while they were trying to arrest her and this is considered “obstructing police work”; contradictions in police testimonies were obvious too.
Qlambo was also accused of attacking the police inside Salah Eddin Street police station, but she was with non-specialist investigators when she went in the station that later revealed that she did not attack any policemen.
Al-Hajj added that the Magistrate court judge was not convinced that In’aam Qlambo attacked any police individuals and that she only participated in an illegal protest and obstructed police work; a hearing session has been scheduled for next month.

Jihad Obeid and Mohammad Farawi
The Israeli courts extended the arrest of five Jerusalemites and released two minors on conditions of house arrest and paying a bail.
Mufeed Al-Hajj, lawyer of Palestinian prisoner’s club, said that the Magistrate court extended the arrest of Jihad Obeid and Mohammad Farawi from the old city until Monday on charges of throwing stones in Al-Aqsa Mosque, noting that the judge delegated the police to release them after finishing the investigation and paying a 1000-NIS bail for each along with house arrest until 22/09/2013 without presenting them to court on Monday; and in case there is a need to extend their arrest one more time, then they need to appear in court.
The judge also extended the arrest of Naser Ajaj until Tuesday, knowing that the general prosecution submitted an indictment against him on Sunday that included throwing stones in Al-Aqsa Mosque on the 4th of the current month. During the next session, the judge will review the possibility of releasing him with a bail and house arrest, or extend his arrest until finishing the legal procedures against him during which the defence lawyer will receive a copy of his file and prepare for the appeal to be submitted regarding his release.
The general prosecution submitted on Sunday a general prosecutor’s permit to submit an indictment against the minor Mahmoud Shawish from Bab Hutta which will include charges of throwing stones in Al-Aqsa Mosque and violating the conditions of the house arrest that is imposed on him.
The judge also extended the arrest of Musbah Abu Sbeih until Monday. Lawyer Al-Hajj pointed out that his client was arrested on Friday afternoon, and while the judge was at home, he ordered to extend the arrest of Musbah until Monday. The lawyer submitted an appeal to the District court against the decision, and the District court judge didn’t make his decision on Saturday night because of “Yon Kippur” and the lack of employees resulting in the postponement of the session until Sunday. The judge rejected the appeal on Sunday and agreed to extend the arrest of Musbah, knowing that he is accused of inciting stone-throwing and organizing protests at Al-Aqsa.
Methods of investigation to create problems
Al-Hajj pointed out that the police and general prosecution are following certain procedures when investigating the detainees’ family members or friends to prove the charges against them. They call family member or friends and show them pictures of the detainee in order to identify and acknowledge him through his clothes (pants, shirt or shoes) or his face. This creates family and personal disputes due to the indirectly recognition of the detainee which will then be used by the general prosecution to submit an indictment against the detainee and extended his arrest for different periods of time.
Al-Hajj said: “the police can call anybody to ask him/her if they were with the suspect at a certain date and time, but calling someone to identify a friend or a family member is creating confusion in the social relationships as well as creating problems within the families or between friends.
Conditional release
Mohammad Mahmoud, Al-Dameer organization lawyer, said that the District court decided to release the two minors, Louai Jaber and Ahmad Natsheh, on condition of house arrest and paying a 5000-NIS bail, knowing that the general prosecution accused them of throwing stones an at Israeli bus in Damascus Gate.
