The Israeli Jalama military court extended Thursday the arrest of the Palestinian journalist Musab Zayoud, from Jenin, for 11 days pending further investigation.
The Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) revealed that the journalist was denied lawyer visits till September 25.
Zayoud was taken from his house two days ago.

Five Palestinian prisoners, held in Etizon detention center, have been subjected to severe beating and ill-treatment during their detention at the hands of Israeli occupation forces, the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) revealed.
Following her visit to Etizon detention center, the PPS lawyer Jaklin Fararja quoted the prisoner Ayatollah Shehadeh, 19, as saying that a group of Israeli soldiers stormed his house after blowing up its front door.
The house was violently searched, while an amount of money estimated at 60,000 shekels and gold jewelry were missing after the raid, in addition to mobile phones, he continued.
Israeli forces then brutally arrested Shehadeh and his mother and left them without food and drink for more than 24 hours, the lawyer said.
The prisoner Ammar Rughby, 18, affirmed to the PPS lawyer that he was subjected to severe beating at the hands of Israeli soldiers who violently stormed his family house in al-Khalil before his arrest.
The Israeli soldiers continued to hit him all over his body while on their way to the detention center, the lawyer quoted Rughby as affirming, saying that the bruises were still visible on his body.
Along the same line, the prisoner Mohamed Qawasma, 21, the brothers Ali and Mus’ab Amr and the prisoner Abdul Rahman Sabah, 26, affirmed that they were subjected to severe beating all over their bodies with rifle butts during their arrest.

A 19-year-old young man was detained during the raid, the sources added. Meanwhile, Israeli forces detained dozens of people for few hours at the entrances of Shuhada Street in al-Khalil.
Local activist Imad Abu Shamsiya told the PIC reporter that Israeli forces detained local residents of Shuhada Street and Tel Rumeidia neighborhood for three hours and forced them to register their names and telephone numbers.
Israeli forces also closed several streets and entrances to different neighborhoods in al-Khalil under “security” pretexts.
A number of make-shift checkpoints were also erected throughout the city. The Israeli restrictions came as part of the Israeli collective punishment policy against al-Khalil’s residents after many of the recent Palestinian resistance attacks had originated from the province.

A number of Palestinian civilians were left injured on early Thursday morning as hundreds of Israeli fanatic settlers stormed at dawn on Thursday Joseph’s Tomb, in eastern Nablus province, under a heavy police escort.
Eyewitnesses said buses carrying extremist Israeli settlers rolled into eastern Nablus at predawn time.
The Israeli occupation troops closed the Amman Street, adjacent to Joseph’s Tomb, and climbed over the rooftops of civilian homes.

The Hebron office of the PPS said the soldiers kidnapped a young woman, a university student identified as Sojoud Saleh Daraweesh, 22, in addition to an elderly man, identified as Mahmoud Amro, 60, from their homes in Doura town, southwest of Hebron.
The soldiers also invaded Abda village, south of Doura, and kidnapped one Palestinian, identified as Ibrahim al-Azazma, after storming his home and searching it.
In addition, the army increased its deployment on Be’er as-Sabe’ road leading to a number of villages, southeast of Doura, in addition to the al-Majnouna area, east of the town, after the soldiers claimed a locating a suspicious object.
The soldiers stopped and searched dozens of cars, and interrogated many Palestinians while inspecting their ID cars and searching the cars.
Furthermore, several army vehicles invaded Qarawat Bani Hassan village, northeast of Salfit, searched many homes and property, and claimed to locate machines used for manufacturing weapons.

The Palestinian Detainees’ Committee has reported that detainee Malek Al-Qadi, who ended his 70-day hunger strike, on Wednesday, after reaching an agreement for ending his Administrative Detention, and setting a date for his release, will be sent home in two weeks after completing recovery an Israeli hospital.
The committee stated that Malek Al-Qadi is a free man, but will remain in intensive care at the Wolfson Israeli Medical, due to the near-death condition he reached during his strike.
It added that the physicians at the medical center advised against transferring him to another hospital, as this could seriously pose further health complications, and that he and his family agreed with the decision.
“Malek al-Qadi will remain in hospital as a patient, not a detainee,” the committee said, “He will be sent home as part of the reached agreement.
Al-Qadi was supposed to be discharged and sent home today, Thursday, but this could also cause complications and put his life at risk.
The agreement that was reached with the Israeli authorizes enabled Al-Qadi and the Balboul brothers, to end their hunger strikes.
The agreement also states that:

The detained girl was injured during the shooting. Following the incident, Israeli media sources revealed that Awissi was on her way to school when she was shot and injured by Israeli soldiers.
The sources affirmed that she did not pose any threat to the soldiers as she was not having any knife in her possession.

Clashes took place between the soldiers and many local youngsters, who hurled stones and empty bottles at the invading vehicles, while the soldiers fired life rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs and concussion grenades.
One Palestinian was shot with an exploding bullet in his leg, and was moved to a hospital in Nablus, suffering a moderate injury, while many others suffered the effects of teargas inhalation.
The soldiers also kidnapped another Palestinian, and took him to an unknown destination.
Also, a large number of wood boards were burnt after a number of Israeli gas bombs, and concussion grenades, were fired into a carpentry workshop.
The clashes were mainly focused in the al-Hisba Street area, Amman Street, and the northern entrance of Balata refugee camp, where many youngster burnt tires and hurled empty bottles and Molotov cocktails at the military vehicles.
Firefighters rushed to the area and extinguished the fire before its spread into a larger area.
