The Detainees and Ex-Detainees Commission of the Palestinian Authority called, on Monday, for a day of rage in solidarity with hunger-striking Palestinian detainees held in Israeli jails.

The Israeli police on Sunday arrested more than 20 activists and members of the National Democratic Alliance party in 1948 Occupied Palestine, claiming a probe revealed that the party had concealed the origin of millions of shekels in donations.
The Balad Party, which holds three Knesset seats and is one of the four parties comprising the Joint (Arab) List faction, said the arrests were part of a systematic campaign of political persecution against its leaders and affiliates.
Those arrested in the sweep of Balad’s offices included senior members and activists, among them lawyers and accountants.
The party’s chairman Awad Abdul Fattah was also targeted by the campaign.
In a statement to the press, Balad denied the charges, calling them fabricated and baseless. The party dubbed the latest arrests a brazen and dangerous escalation, saying they rather manifest of an Israeli attempt to undermine the party’s national and democratic role.

At least 18 Palestinian workers and eight youngsters were kidnapped Saturday by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) from the occupied territories.
18 Palestinian workers were arrested by the Israeli occupation police for allegedly entering 1948 Occupied Palestine without permits.
The Israeli cops stopped a vehicle carrying 18 workers and took them all in for questioning.
Tens of thousands of Palestinian workers are forced to seek a living by working in 1948 Occupied Palestine due to crippling unemployment in the occupied West Bank, as the growth of an independent Palestinian economy has been stifled under the ongoing Israeli military occupation.
At the same time, six Palestinians were kidnapped by the IOF from Irak Burin town, to the south of Nablus.
According to eyewitnesses, violent clashes flared up shortly after the occupation troops rolled into Irak Burin town and cracked down on Palestinian anti-occupation youths.
The Israeli army patrols targeted the young protesters with randomly-shot spates of teargas canisters. Over recent days, at least 14 Palestinian civilians were kidnapped by the IOF from Irak Burin.
Two more youngsters were kidnapped by the Israeli soldiers at the Zaatara military checkpoint, to the south of Nablus province. The Israeli troops reportedly signaled a vehicle to stop and ordered those onboard to get down, before they arrested them and dragged them to an Israeli military jeep.
The IOF had earlier imposed a massive crackdown on Palestinian passengers and vehicles in Nablus, blocking their movement in and out.

A lawyer for the Palestinian Committee of Prisoners’ Affairs Saturday reported that 18-year-old Raghad Khadour, who was shot with her fiance after an alleged car ramming attack on Friday near the illegal Israeli settlement of Kiryat Arba in the occupied West Bank district of Hebron, was in a “difficult” and “worrying” medical state.
Karim Ajwah said Raghad, who has remained in the ICU of Israel’s Shaare Zedek Medical Center, was shot with live fire in the abdomen and has been connected to a respirator.
Ajwah noted that Raghad had an operation on Saturday, adding that her condition remained difficult, but seemed to be stabalizing.
Raghad Khaddour was the sister of Majd Khaddour who was killed by Israeli forces at the same junction in June after attempting a car ramming attack.
Israeli forces shot and killed Raghad’s fiance 18-year-old Fares Moussa Muhammad Khaddour during the alleged attack, while Raghad was critically wounded. Three Israeli civilians were also wounded in the incident -- it remained unknown the severity of their injuries.
Raghad’s husband was one of five to have been killed by Israeli forces since Thursday evening. He was shot dead by Israeli forces some 45 minutes after a Jordanian citizen was shot and killed by Israeli forces after allegedly carrying out a stabbing attack outside Damascus Gate in occupied East Jerusalem.
Less than two hours after Israeli forces shot dead Moussa Fares Khadour, 15-year-old Muhammad Thalji Kayid Thalji al-Rajabi was also shot and killed in the Tel Rumeida area of Hebron’s Old City after reportedly stabbing and lightly injuring an Israeli soldier.
On Saturday morning, Israeli forces also shot dead 25-year-old Hatim Abd al-Hafeeth Shaludi in the Tel Rumeida neighborhood of Hebron after allegedly carrying out a stabbing attack.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Ahmad Abed al-Fattah al-Sarrahin, 30, was killed on Thursday after succumbing to gunshot wounds sustained earlier in the day when Israeli forces raided the village of Beit Ula in the district of Hebron and opened live fire on al-Sarrahin as soldiers reportedly struggled to detain him.
According to Ma'an documentation, at least 227 Palestinians have been killed by Israelis and some 32 Israelis have been killed by Palestinians since a wave of unrest first swept across the occupied Palestinian territory and Israel in October.
The recent incidents marked the highest concentration of Palestinian deaths in recent months since June when three Palestinians were killed in less than 48 hours after allegedly carrying out attacks which killed two Israelis -- one in Hebron's Old city, another in Kiryat Arba, and one in Israel -- while a fourth died during clashes.
Israel has come under repeated criticism for failing to carry out due process in response to alleged and actual attacks, particularly in regard to the apparent extrajudicial executions of Palestinians who no longer posed a threat when they were killed.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has recently embarked on urging the UN and its Security Council to take action to end Israel's use of administrative detention and the suffering of Palestinian hunger strikers in its jails.
In a press release on Friday, OIC envoy to Palestine Ahmed Ruwaidi said that ambassador Mansour al-Otaibi, head of the OIC group at the UN, handed a letter in this regard to secretary-general Ban Ki-moon.
The letter underlined that "the administrative detention policy which Israel, as an occupying power, pursues against the Palestinians is illegal and considered the gravest form of arbitrary incarceration."
The letter, according to Ruwaidi, pointed to the presence of over 700 Palestinian prisoners, including minors, in Israeli jails administratively, with no indictments or trials.
The letter also talked about the suffering of Palestinian prisoners and detainees in Israeli jails and detention centers, especially the critical health conditions of three hunger strikers protesting their detention administratively.
Those three hunger strikers are Mohamed and Mahmoud Balboul (brothers) and Malek al-Qadi, the letter noted.
It recalled that the report that was released lately by the UN Committee against Torture had demanded Israel to swiftly take steps to end its administrative detention policy and ensure that all detainees receive their basic legal rights.
