140 Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails have continued their open-ended hunger strike for the 13th consecutive days in protest at not removing the cancer-causing cellphone jamming devices in detention sections.
Israeli jailers still refuse to fulfill the pledges they already made to representatives of Palestinian prisoners about removing cellphone jammers, activating public telephones and ending all punitive measures against the prisoners.
In recent months, the Israeli prison service (IPS) installed many cellphone jamming devices in its jails. Later, it increased the level of hazardous radio signals of the cellphone jamming devices installed in places between sections of prisons.
The Palestinian prisoners in different jails have complained of their suffering from ongoing severe headaches as a result of the cellphone jammers, but the IPS keeps ignoring the negative impacts of the powerful radio signals these devices transmit on the health of the inmates.
